When I used to go to retreats I would cringe when they would put on movies, I used to put in my headphones and put on my favorite tunes or go for a walk or a nap in my room

Whispering Pines is in Wisconsin and whispering Prairie is in Minnesota.

I could go either way-movie or no movie. But, I think for a retreat style event, croppers should provide their own background noise of their choosing. If they want to watch a movie, pull it on the laptop with headphones kind of thing.

Miklynnn - That looks like a beautiful retreat.
I have been to Keepsake Cabin and Whispering Prairie. Both very nice. I liked Keepsake Cabin as there were no steps to the scrap room. That was the only thing about Whispering Prairie - too may stairs.
I go to Pheasant Run and Willow Ridge (both in Hutchinson). They are about half an hour from my house and they are both really nice houses. Willow Ridge has a pedicure room and there are a couple ladies that can be booked to come and do pedicures. You can also have a massage lady come as well.
I have been to a couple in Wisconsin too, but one has mostly stopped booking retreats Beaver Lake Lodge (they retired and are using it as their cabin) and I can't remember the name of the other one - in star something Wisconsin.

A friend owns Whispering Prairie and is always thinking of a way around those darn stairs.
Keepsakes I've been 10 years in a row and love it.

I can't stand it when someone is watching YouTube or a movie and they have the volume cranked up high. Thank you for NOT sharing!

lori McMud At Whispering Pines, they let us drive around to the back walkout area to load/unload our stuff. I can't imagine trying to lug my heavy scrapping supplies down a flight of stairs.

I've never heard of movies being on at a crop! That would drive me batty! You can't follow along with the movie while you're scrapping so what's the point? I never enjoy the music picked either though. I prefer silence or chit-chat. I don't mind 80's music or 70's singer songwriter but that's never what seems to be picked. This is reminding me of why I stay home. haha!

All in all it turned our okay. I was able tune it out and have fun. Got 45 cards done so I feel like I was productive. That is awesome!!!

I almost always bring my ear buds. I forgot them last crop and everyone else wanted to listen to a baseball game on the radio. I don't follow baseball and am not a fan of listening to a game on the radio. I ended up leaving and going to my room to read. I won't forget my ear buds again!!

The background noise of the crowd makes me stabby. If I had to listen to that at a crop I would go take a nap. I just want to visit and hang out.
