Did anyone else think Sparks was a bit light on class content this month? Love the kit and the ideas, but I wish the content was more robust. It seems to be very much focussed on the inspiration angle. But I still enjoyed it. I just made a layout and a pocket page today.

Ok, so I'm going to dig this up because I have a question and couldn't find any more recent threads on this. I have never bought one of Ali's kits but I really like the 'Stuff' one this month (and the stamp set as well) and have it in my cart along with the ink bundle and the Day in the Life Mini Kit No.2. There doesn't honestly seems to be a lot in the kits or is that just me? Are they worth the $$ in your opinions?

I think there is still a promo code for trying the kits it's trystorykit for the kit and trystorystamp for the stamp. I'm not sure if they still woworking actually cancelled last month I don't love this months but I intend to get at least two of the kits between now and the end of the year and after seeing them I might want more. They are fantastic value as the products are excellent quality and it also comes with a class and if you but the stamp and kit you also get the digitals

The amount of class content and inspiration you get is worth the monthly fee by themselves. I agree that the DITL 2 kit is somewhat lacking.

I typically LOVE all things Ali. I no longer sub because of her relationship with SC....that said, the last few kits have been really thin and flat. Even if I want to support Ali, I think she is starting down the same road SC did, on thinning kits.

I have really enjoyed some of the past kits and inspiration nicolep. Roots was my absolute fave last year. I haven't got into the last few themes though, so I hope things improve before the end of the year. However, I'll be cancelling once I get to November as I feel like I've got enough out of the story telling concept to continue on my own.

That's because I don't follow the education. I would rather be able to pay less for the stuff (no pun intended) and purchase the content as an extra if I feel that I want it that month. The education is where the value is (but I'm not really looking for that kind of content)...there is no real meat to her kit otherwise. I think a big part of it, beyond the value being in the education, is that Ali is a minimalist scrapbooker. She's not really in it for the artistic aspect (sure, what she does is visually appealing, but that's not her primary goal...if it looked hideous, though, no one would buy her stuff) but rather in the value of telling our stories.

I'm already paying for the educational content through my story stamp sub, so the story kit is definitely not worth the money to me, not even the free digis I would get if I subbed to both. The kits are very thin, even if the contents are good. I like some of the story kits and try to pick those up at the sales she has twice a year. Then they are $15/kit and I think that's the value I would put on them. I have 8 different story kits and Read is the only one I paid full price for. I will use them for my album about me, that will hold my personal stories. With the exception of Read, I also think the stamps have taken a more uninteresting turn during the last few months. I'm actually thinking about canceling the stamp sub but I'll hold on to it for another couple of months and see if it's any improvement. I could pick up the ones I like at sales, and don't bother with the rest, I suppose. Just like I'm doing with the kits now.

I've been a story stamp subscriber since day one and only started with the kits maybe 8 months ago? I really like and connect with how Ali scrapbooks but that doesn't mean I love every layout that she does but I gain inspiration from how she does it. I also use her stamps over and overy on all my projects so the stamps are definate value for me. I like that the kit has cards and embellishments for both PL style of scrapbooking and traditional. Now the educational component is amazing. I've taken classes through various sites and hers are ones that get me fired up and excited to scrapbook. To me this is worth it. Plus I find that using her kits gets me to use my stash because without 12x12 papers included in the kit I need to use my own...win win. This is also the only kit I subscribe to do that value is there for me. Products + education = me scrapbooking more and using my stash up? That's a win for me and I will continue to subscribe. It's a big difference from getting a kit from SC and paying top $ for then getting it in the mail and going now what? How do these papers go together well? I don't need to be stressed with my hobby.

I agree with needtime2scrap. I have so many things in my stash that I love and want to use, so the limited number of products in the Story kits and the educational content are actually a plus for me. I have a few kits set aside to use in the future, but because the items are sort of basic in nature, I don't feel like I will look back when I am ready to use them and feel they are dated. Also, for about $20, I don't feel too guilty if they pile up until I am ready to tell those stories.

I agree that I have a huge stash to use, so it's no problem for me to add stuff to the kits. But I still don't want to pay too much money to use the stuff I already have. For $15 at the sales, though, there's the value. And the educational content is truly awesome! But I don't want to pay double for it.

Agreed about paying double if you subscribe to both kits. But I look at it this way, paying for the stamps set gives me the educational component+stamps. Then paying for the story kit gives me the kit and the complete set of digitals.

Did anyone else buy the newest DITL kit? The 3x4 cards do not fit in my page protectors. They seem to be cut slightly too large.
