Just wondering. I paper scrapped for 20 years and am now only a digital scrapper. Seems most the talk here is paper, is that still the more popular way to scrapbook?
I'll admit I fought switching to digital at first since I work all day on the computer, but I enjoy it so much more than I thought I would (and more than I did paper)
Are the peas more likely to paper scrap and is that the same in IRL?

I paper scrap. I am not sure about the Peas, since I am still new, but a lot of the online groups are mixed between digi and paper. Digital seems to be gaining popularity, because busy people can do it from their phones while waiting at the doctor's office, etc.

I morphed over into digi scrapping after creating hybrid stuff for my kids' parties.
I still have a room full of paper supplies though, I don't have it in my heart to get rid of it all (I did clear some out).
I was looking to buy new physical Christmas supplies for cards and I can't believe how entitled I have become expecting to get everything I want at the click of a button rather than having to either go to the store to buy it or wait for the postman to deliver it!
I love the ease of digital scrapbooking.
I would NEVER have believed I would pass over paper for pixels though.

I still like paper scrapping, but then I've never even tried digital scrapping. I love the feel of the paper and the glues and inks. It's very tactile for me. I'm another one who spends mega time working on the computer, and I really like the physical feel of the papers and photos.

I'm digital only. Most of my IRL friends have made the switch to digital as well. The last scrapbook retreat I went to we were all digital! I wish there was a digital only board here. There was when we first started out.

I don't know about the majority, but I know I'm a paper-only scrapper.

I do both but it's about a 90/10 split paper to digital. I could never get rid of all of my pretty papers and tools because I love the texture and the physical layers. I've been doing my Christmas cards all digital for the last five years though just so I can easily incorporate a photo and keep the bulk and cost down.
ETA: I probably would do more digital if it wasn't so blinking frustrating to fight through the learning curve! Even editing my photos in PSE is a task I hate because it takes me so long to do what should be the simplest stupid things. Doing anything digi for one layout takes me ten times longer than it would to just grab some paper, my diecutting machine, some pictures, glue and a pen. I can only justify it for Christmas cards because we send out 50-60 of them and they're all the same.

I am a little mad at myself for not giving it a try sooner and saving money, time, etc. And yes, I'm getting used to being able to easily find anything I want in minutes, love it. I'm digital only. Most of my IRL friends have made the switch to digital as well. The last scrapbook retreat I went to we were all digital! I wish there was a digital only board here. There was when we first started out. People digiscrap at retreats? That is the one thing I really miss about paper scrapping is the crops. I'm going to have to see if I can find something like that, I miss talking to people. I only have one friend irl that scrapbooks, and she has recently switched to digital too.

paper. it's not because I'm on a computer all day (I am). it's because I like being tactile with my crafts. I like to touch and feel texture. If it was just memory keeping I'd be happy to go digital. However, this is all about the process for me, not necessarily the finished product.

I'm a paper scrapper but I love the idea of someday doing digital and printing up photo books. However my stash is so huge I am not willing to do that right now.

Traditional paper scrapper here. I am thinking of doing photo books to get our stories and pictures in a format where they can be enjoyed and shared more easily, but digi scrapping takes me just as long as paper scrapping, and I like playing with paper.
I know several people who scrapbook. Of them all, only one does digital scrapping.

I love playing with paper, scissors and glue! It's still my favorite. I've done some digital in the past and it just wasn't as satisfying.
However, I'm looking into the Forever photo storage system (the one that old Creative Memories morphed into, started by Rhonda Anderson). They have a lot of digital options, so I may be tempted someday to create easy photo books and gifts.
I can certainly understand why people would want to go digital. This paper scrapbooking thing can get a little out of hand!

I'm digi.
I still make cards, so I get my paper fix from there. Plus I have too many supplies to ditch paper altogether. But I prefer digital.

I'm a paper scrapper. I dabbled in digi maybe 2006 or 2007 but I just didn't enjoy it in the same way as paper. I did learn enough that I can do some fun stuff in Photoshop and whatnot though. And several years in a row I designed our Christmas card as a digi card (but printed and mailed them). I have a fun little group of ladies that I scrap with here and only one is a digi scrapper. She takes her laptop and power cord to crops with us! We usually share a table together bc she takes up so little table space

I'm a mix. I'd been collecting physical products for years (and did some cardmaking with them), but was too intimidated to actually scrap. I'm very indecisive, so I didn't want to cut up papers, then change my mind and have wasted supplies. So I just never did anything. Then I discovered digital, and started scrapping. It was way less intimidating, and I like working on computers, so it was easier for me to start. I also liked how you could alter items to fit your needs more (change colours, sizes, etc.). But recently I have started doing some hybrid/physical scrapping, and am enjoying it. It helps that through digi scrapping, I found that my style is more minimalist. I'm enjoying actually playing with product now, and have just started subbing to AE's Story Kit. I will probably still do a bit of digi if I find a kit I really love though

I think that there are several reasons people scrapbook, and those reasons often dictate HOW they scrap- traditional, digi or hybrid. People who are crafty first and foremost, probably will never go 100% digital, they just love the whole process of playing with paper and all of the fun, scrappy techniques and supplies. An important reason people scrap is simply to preserve memories, photos and stories, so how they choose to scrap might be more flexible- they might choose digital because it's quick, efficient, and convenient, even if they work on a computer all day. Or they might like hybrid because it's kind of the best of both worlds. I also think shopping is somehow a big part of the equation- just look at how many threads on the scrapping board are about product, equipment, kits, etc. Ladies love to shop, and scrapbooking often feeds into that enjoyable hobby in addition to memory keeping.
I'm 100% digital. I don't do traditional scrapbooking, never have. I guess I'm just not really into crafts, although I'm an artist and do draw and paint. I'm also not a shopper, so I don't buy digi scrapping stuff. I just love the creative process, and the memory keeping aspects of scrapping.

I am in transition (I think). I have started the digital with one of our vacations and I have plans to continue paper with other special occasions. For me, there is something about touching the paper and creating, rather than staying focused on a computer.

I'm primarily a paper scrapper. I wouldn't say I'm a hybrid scrapper but I do incorporate digital elements. I've bought a few things but I design most of my own on the computer.

I do both and I really enjoy doing both and can't imagine giving up either one. I like the convenience of digital - no mess, instant gratification with purchases, ability to easily undo stuff when I decide I don't like how it looks - but I also like the feeling of moving things around and playing with the same pretty supplies I see everyone else online using.
I mostly scrap travel albums and each trip will be either totally digi or totally paper. Funnily enough I've alternated over the last few years, so my 2011 and 2014 trips are digi, while 2013 and 2015 are paper.

I do both. I like a lot of the fun techniques with both mediums. I have gone back to paper for my traditional scrapping but I am redoing my recipes in digital so I can print them at home! I also do pages for others as gifts etc. in digi so they can print them at home if they choose to.

I'm mostly digital but I still enjoying playing with paper sometimes. One of the main reasons I tend to make a lot of digi layouts is because I can complete them whilst sitting with DH as he watches tv in the evenings, rather than heading to my craft room for a couple of hours.

Paper. I can see the appeal of digital, but my computer is old. I do most of my web surfing, email etc. on a Kindle tablet which suits me. Sometimes I would like to download and print elements esp. for my pocket pages, but right now I like creating with my "stuff."

Even though, I do both and I really enjoy doing both and can't imagine giving up either one. I love the tactile feeling of irl supplies. It fuels a creative need that I personally cannot get through digital. If I feel far behind or overwhelmed, I turn to digital scrapbooking. I get to tell the stories which I think are important but would not have the time otherwise. I really need to work on bridging the two more effectively. Both Rock though!!

Paper only, here. I tried digital for a while, but found it uninteresting. It didn't hold my attention. I like touching, feeling and playing with stuff too much.
