I called them a few months ago about the wire that keep "kinking up" they sent me a new one free of charge. Well after a few months it happened again,they told me they made improvements to the wire.
They are sending me another one,this time the new and approved one. Again free of charge...I was ready to dump it,I like it because it's easy to carry and does the job for me,isn't it nice to hear good customer service for a change?

Is this on their Sure Cut trimmer?!? I had them replace the wire on mine too, but I still find that the blade starts getting jagetty (if you know what I mean)! I really, really like this trimmer but this is driving me nuts! Jennifer McGuire recommends this one, so I can't imagine she's had this problem or she wouldn't recommend it.
In another post I mentioned that I cut a lot of photo paper now since I print at home most of the time. I'm wondering if I need to have one cutter just for this purpose!

Patty, it is the one with the blue flowers and with the ruler not extended it's 6" ....12" with the ruler out.
Hope this helps! I would call them anyway,they are uber help full.

years ago I bought their spring action eyelet setter set. it was AWFUL and the springs bent the first time I used it and it wasn't even accurate. I contacted Fiskars and they offered to replace it with another set. I told them i didn't want to use that product again. so they replaced it with a pair of fabric scissors that are my favorite ones to this day. very good service in deed.
making memories gave me great customer service on their paper trimmer when a piece on mine broke. instead of replacing the piece, their replaced the entire trimmer. that was a $50 value.
on a non-scrapbook related note, REVLON has excellent customer service when it comes to their cosmetic tools too.

I have a pretty old trimmer from them, and I called them for replacements, only to find out that they don't use the same numbers anymore for the items. They researched the correct parts for me so that I could buy replacements. I was very pleased.
I need to call them and see if they still have them. I'm running low again.

Agreed! They are awesome. Sent me a new punch to replace one that kept popping apart. Also sent me an awesome upgrade on a trimmer that I had that was so old it was discontinued. Free as well!

The wire on mine frayed as well. They were great about sending me the new part. I love that trimmer and the wire guide is a life saver.

So not to hijack this thread, but the titanium blades are supposed to be so much better, but I'm wondering if they work in all the Fiskars trimmers that use blade style "I".

I, too, have always had really good experiences with their customer service. I had the regular trimmer, and even after replacing the blades, it would not cut straight. I sent them an email about it, and it turns out my cutter was older than I thought because they said it was "obsolete" (ouch!), and ended up sending me a brand spanking new trimmer - all free of charge. I didn't expect that at all. In fact, had they just explained that my cutter was older than I realized, and that I needed to go buy a new one, I would've been fine with that. So yeah, their customer service is the best. :thumbsup:
