Welcome to the monthly Sketch/Scraplift challenge! Each month, I will post either a sketch, or a LO for you to lift, or draw inspiration. Here is the LO SKETCH challenge for November: My take on the sketch: As you know, in scraplifting/using sketches, your LO's can end up looking exactly like the inspiration piece, or you can let your creativity run wild! These are just jumping off points to get you rolling. Have fun, and link your LO's back to this thread so that we can all see your piece of art and give you some lovin'! Happy November!

I like this one, too. I think it would work great with my DD's school pictures.

KikiPea, I love your layout based on the sketch. I love the colors and those cascading hearts. I love the subtle white on white of your title and the variety of the patterns in your paper strips. Great job, thanks for sharing and for posting this challenge. I'll see if I can "translate" it to my 8.5x11 size. It's a great sketch.

I love this sketch. I am going to totally do this although I have no idea how to post my layout?

I have no idea how to post my layout? When you hit reply (NOT quick reply), there is a button in the top right corner that says ADD ATTACHMENT. You just click that, and upload from your computer, or phone.

Here is my submission for the Sketch/Scraplift Challenge and the NC15-#2 challenge. Don't forget these are only temporary photos (printed on copy paper) I order photos after I have completed a page. Also this is my very first sketch challenge. I have never used sketches. My photos are a bit larger than on the sketch, I hope that is okay. My photos are a bit larger than on the sketch, I hope that is okay. Mine were too - that's the beauty of sketches, you can just tweak things to work with what you have. Off to leave you some love in the gallery.

NC15 #2 (SKETCH CHALLENGE)-1 by Maribeth and Jim Robison, on Flickr Mine were 6x3ish, so not even close to the same size as the sketch. They are also skewed, and not straight like the example. That's the fun part of using a sketch. It's just a jumping off point. Sometimes my pages end up looking close to the sketch, and sometimes they look nothing like them, but you can still tell how it started. You're LO looks perfect, and fits the challenge. I love it! Thank you for playing along.

chendra that is so cute! I love that pumpkin carving and I really like the little scattering of embellishments - especially the joggly eyes.

Chinagirl828, KikiPea, LisaDV, sbartist--thank you for your kind words. However, just to set the record straight, I am not naturally ultra-skilled at creating "adogable pupkins". I found a template on bhg.com that resembled my dog. Would anyone like to volunteer to give me gallery advice? I've been sick all week and my brain is fuzzy. I set up a flickr account and managed to pop a picture into the gallery (which I then deleted because I didn't know how to label it). At what point do I do the tagging--in my account before I post, or at the time of posting? It seemed to give it a title for me based on the name of the photo file--can I change it? And what name will appear--my real name that I used when signing up for the account or my user name (i.e. the name in the yahoo email address). Thanks in advance.
