This is very much like the idea I had in making my advent calendar: www.scrapbookingmemories.com.au/2013/11/20/guest-post-creating-a-photo-advent-calendar-by-sue-madex/Only when it's time to put it away till next year I'm going to cover each photo with a fun and festive countdown card. Then come next winter when it's time to decorate and put up the countdown calendar, I'm going to reveal each photo I covered, every day till Christmas. Then replace them with new memories to reminisce in the Christmas after. The retired memories can be for scrapbooks, photo albums, Christmas cards, ornaments, frames, photo quilt, virtual sharing, or retire them in their new advent calendar homes and give to family. Just felt like sharing the idea since it's something you may be interested in doing too

That's a really cute advent calendar. I will add it to my list of 'One Day, Someday' projects!
