If they're bigger, older ones I do, otherwise no, no need. The skin is a good source of fibre etc.

I peel the big, ugly carrots but not the 'baby' carrots. They're already peeled when I buy them.

I peel.
I just made a big pot of soup that I put carrots into and I peel them all out of habit, I guess. Plus, I have an awesome peeler and I actually enjoy peeling things. It is really sharp and makes extra thin strips out of the skin.
I did not peel the little red potatoes though. I just scrubbed them and did a rough chop. There is probably some strange psychological reason behind my peeling decisions, but I don't know why it feels right to peel/not peel certain vegetables.
The peelings go into the worm bin so nothing goes to waste around here.

I peel them even when I don't cook them.

Never. Defeats the purpose in my mind. I've never come across a carrot that really needs to be peeled because the skin is tough or whatever. I peeled enough carrots in school because of the aesthetic, no other reason. So I don't now. Just don't see the point.

I used to, but have firmly moved to the never camp. All they need is a good wash, cut the tip and top. I never peel potatoes anymore either.

I never peel any carrots cooked or raw but then I rarely peel any vegetable. I do peel the potatoes if I am making mashed potatoes but that is the only time. I leave the peeling on for frying them or potato salad and I take the outer paper peeling off of onions. I like the taste of the peel on veggies. Just remembered I also peel jicama.

I peel the whole carrots. But if I buy the "baby" carrots in the bag, I use them as is.

I only peel if the carrots will remain raw. I don't bother with cooked carrots.

I prefer to scrub them rather than peel them, but iif we're eating them raw, I usually peel them just because they look nicer.

Yes I do. It’s a habit I just can’t break.
I was putting some carrots through my spiralizer the other day and I was about to put them in unpeeled, but at the last minute I just couldn’t do it. I can’t explain why, it’s weird!

Yes, always and I never use "baby" carrots. They seem slimy to me and have a funky smell.

Peeling carrots is WAY MORE work than I would ever be willing to do for a side dish. Especially when it's completely unnecessary.

If they are going in a soup or stew, no. Otherwise, yes, depending on how pressed I am for time and whether they are small or large.

I always do but now I'm questioning that decision in case I'm wasting time & that good fiber. I think next time I make them I'll leave them unpeeled just to see if there is a taste difference
