Where would you go? Or would you prefer a few short day trips / events instead of a slightly longer trip?

Right now? London, England. When it's better weather I love going to PEI alone, but at this point I would want to explore London. Or NYC. But those are at the top of my list right now. There are many places I'd travel solo.

I'd want to go somewhere with a great view - the beach or the mountains. Then I'd sit and read uninterrupted for hours on end.

Europe - my niece is an au pair living along the French/Swiss border right now and I am green with envy as I stalk her Instagram. I lived in the same region a few decades ago and have been fantasizing about a trip. I definitely want a long, leisurely trip.

I am going to be going to Oregon by myself next year. I want to go to a few cities and check them out in person because I plan to move to Oregon after selling my house. Looking on line at realtor sites and reading local newspapers is no substitute for seeing a place in person.

I'd go to an all inclusive ... I want to sit on the beach all day and read my book then go for a great dinner and see a show in the evening Another dream would be to tour London ... I've been there before but I'd love to go again

This time of year, I would head back to Amish Country, in PA.
I would like a few 3-4 day trip trips.

I just got back from a trip to New Orleans by myself and I LOVED IT!!!! I walked all over and felt completely safe except in the evening on Bourbon St because that is not my scene. I sat at Cafe Du monde and ate beignets, pigged out on samples at Aunt Sally's Pralines, sat next to the Mississipi River listening to jazz from street performers, ate jambalaya and gumbo from a different place every day, sat at Emerils at the chef's table overlooking the kitchen watching them prepare food and getting delicious appetizer samples on the house. I shopped at the Riverwalk Mall and New Orleans Jewelry on Royal St, where I got great deals on silver, sat in Jackson Square watching the artists and performers.
I could have grabbed a pass to jump on and off the city tour bus, taken a boat ride on the Mississippi, taken a tour of the Katrina areas, so much to do. I filled 4 days there no problem at all and would go back any time!

I would prefer a 3 or 4 day trip to days out. If I was staying in the UK I would probably rent a cottage on the coast somewhere where I could walk and horse ride on the beach and watch the sea a lot.....or go to a spa for lots of massages etc....

Some friends came back from six weeks in Europe. They ran everywhere. Their FB feed was all 'here we are running to Buckingham palace' and 'here we are running at the Eiffel Tower'. That would be my dream. Running all over the world for a loooooooooong time.

I'm going to my dog breed Nationals by myself next year. I love going to dog or horse shows by myself because I can set my own schedule and watch the events I want to watch My family is going to join me the second weekend, but for 5 days I'll have my own room and be on my own - wooohoooo!! So I guess my answer is for me, it doesn't matter the length of time, just the event or what I'm doing

Right now, I'm feeling a bit in need of serious relaxation and focus on myself, so if I were going to take a solo trip, I'd do a spa vacation - either to Ojai or Lake Austin. I'd happily go for 5-7 days. Anything longer, I'd rather do something else with my family.

I'd travel anywhere, any how, for any length of time.
Currently, some top picks would be Vietnam for a couple of weeks, Europe via train for several weeks, Chile &/or Argentina for two weeks, or New York for a week to shop & see shows.
Of course, I'm always up for the beach --- take me to an island just about anywhere.

I would either go to the beach or the mountains. I would want to be able to eat out (beach) or if I was going to the moutains, I'd prepare some things to take with me so I wouldn't have to shop or work to hard at making meals. I would then read, sleep, create (cross-stitch or scrapbook) and hike/walk. Sitting outside a lot depending on the weather would be in the mix too. It would be more of a retreat than a vacation.

Actually I just thought of another one I wanted to do... a weekend course at the CIA at Hyde Park. Or Cali.

I'd love to take a solo trip to Maine for a week and do nothing but walk near/stare at the ocean, read books and listen to music. My mom loves to go to Maine, thought, so I'd feel bad making the trip without inviting her.
I may be traveling to Italy solo in the next year. My usual travel buddies have other destinations in mind, and I really want to see Sicily and don't want to put it off until I find someone else that wants to go. I would likely go on a Rick Steves tour - I went on one of their tours previously and feel like I'd be comfortable traveling solo with them.

I've traveled many places alone and would gladly do so again. I enjoy my "me" time. Right now, I'd love to go to Boulder, CO. It's so beautiful this time of the year.

I've been a few places solo. Sometimes for a few days, the most for 12 to Rome.
Right now I'd love to return to Rome because I love it so much but I wouldn't mind London -- it's been almost two decades. Really? Pretty much anywhere in Europe. Sigh.

I've taken trips by myself before and always pick a beach. And I pack my running shoes and lots of books. I would need at least three days. Preferably a week.

I can't imagine taking a trip by myself, so I'm not sure where I would go. I tend to be timid in those situations, so I probably wouldn't go anywhere alone.

I do most of my travel alone, though I do often stay with friends/family for part of a trip. The longest trips away have been 6 weeks - UK, Europe several times. I've also been to the US twice and Canada twice (3 week trips), Malaysia and Thailand (2 weeks). On my list I have Cambodia and Vietnam and back to Eastern Europe to follow up on some places I've discovered through my family history research (Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic and Ukraine).
I enjoy travelling with friends, but most of them don't have the time/money to go the places I want to go at the time I'm free to travel.

I would go to London and divide my time between the British museum and the Natural history museum. I would look at everything and read each little sign!

I've been on many trips by myself and I'd do it in a heartbeat. I went to Europe when I was 22 yrs old for 8 weeks with plane tickets, a EuroRail Pass, a Youth Hostel pass and $1000. That's it. I did a volunteer work camp in the Czech Republic for 4 weeks so I had free room and board in a castle with other people in the program. I had no plans. No reservations...nothing. I"ve been to Europe twice in the past 4 years with two of my kids and just myself. Next year dh, myself, dd and ds are going to London (briefly), Edinburgh and then hiking on the Isle of Skye. Where would I go by myself if given the chance? I don't even know because I don't see that opportunity coming anytime soon. If my dd gets accepted into the university student exchange program, she will be flying to Hong Kong next September. I'd love to fly out and visit her. Places on my list? San Francisco and then driving along the coast up to Seattle Australia and New Zealand Belize Costa Rica Hawaii

Next alone trip is to Ethiopia in five days! I am so excited to go because it's been planned for almost a year. I also get to go to Austin, TX in January for a work conference. I have become very comfortable traveling by myself and doing things like eating out or going to a play.
For those Peas looking at Vietnam and Cambodia.... Go!! I was there two years ago this month and loved it. Cambodia (Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom) are my favorite places to date. Plus it's so affordable, at least once you get there. For the Vietnam portion, definitely try to sail Halong Bay on a luxury junk.

I'd go visit my best friend in Tennessee.
I'd like to go to a craft exposition and take classes, that sort of trip where dh would be bored because I'd be in class all day and working on projects. I loved art school and hated when my doctor made me quit because I kept getting hospitalized.
Dh and I like going places together, and we have varied interests so he can go enjoy a day of golf while I enjoy the spa or go check out the city or go antiquing. He likes doing those things as well.
We really want to go to France and Belgium--we'd probably spend a few days in London and meet up with our friend who lives in Helsinki--I know he'd like for us to come visit him and see his house.
We also want to do an Alaskan cruise.
I'd get bored being by myself unless I was doing something structured with other people like a class or tour.

Right now it's Cuba, and I'm going in January Next one one will likely be Turkey. I also enjoy just doing long weekends away locally and try to do several a year. Good luck with what you decide!

I've been to Paris, London, and NYC on my own.
I'd probably go back to Paris for as long as I could muster.
