I'd hop on a big ship, commander a lawn chair in the shade and read myself silly for 7 days. Of course, I'd go into ports and find fun stuff to bring back to my loved ones, but I'd enjoy reading, spa'ing and listening to nice music at night. I love sleeping on the ocean. Bliss.

I've been to a few places in Europe on my own, and also had five days in NYC, which was great fun. At the moment, I would love just to have a few days in a country hotel, with fabulous food and a big comfortable bed. No kids, no dog, and just myself to worry about. I'd want it to be no more than a couple of hours away, so either the Scottish Borders or somewhere in Perthshire. If money were no object, a couple of weeks in Mauritius would go down a treat!

I'd prefer a long trip to Europe to explore and photograph all the classic and out of the way locales. I want to decorate all the walls in my house with photos I took in Europe. France, Italy, England, the Netherlands, Spain.

I have doubts I'll ever go on any vacation again. If I ever got the chance, I'd go on a slightly longer trip. I've been to most of the good places around here that would work for a day trip.
No idea where I would go.

Somewhere warm and sunny until about May. Preferably in the Carribean but I'll take anywhere warm. The temps are dropping here and soon it'll be snow, ice and wind until Spring. My body is revolting and will until it gets warm again. Winters are harder on me every year

I'd love to go to NYC. Take in a Broadway show or two, visit Ellis Island, do all the touristy things.
Washington DC. I'd love to visit all the monuments and museums. I think I'd prefer to go alone so I could spend as much/little time as I please.

I'd want to go somewhere with a great view - the beach or the mountains. Then I'd sit and read uninterrupted for hours on end. Ohhhhh yeah. Peace and solitude, baby!

Anywhere by the ocean. Either alone or not.

I would do a tour with others, and if I had my choice it would be an art or cooking retreat in either France or Italy.

I would take an RV trip around the US with my little dog.

I frequently travel by myself. I'll probably do another solo Disney trip next year. The next major trip on my mind is Iceland, but that will have to wait until 2017. After that, London again, and Scotland and Ireland. DS really wants to go to Scotland, so I'd probably not do that one by myself.

I'd go to Washington dc. I've already been there, but I've never gotten to do all I want.
Anywhere else and I would want a travel companion

I went to europe for a month by myself when the kids were 7 and 9. they stayed with the grandparents. I spent a week in sweden with a friend, then a week in wales with relatives, and two weeks on a girl guide adventure..based out of London. I had a great time.
if I were to go again by myself, I would head back to england and wales..and do geneology.

Funny you should mention it, I've been day dreaming about this......about 1.5 hours down to the coast. A place with a view of the beach for about 3 days. I would pack my sewing machine, DVD's and books. I would sew while watching movies/tv series, read, eat and nap whenever I wanted for however long I wanted. I love my family but right now I really want a break.

I just like to travel most anywhere. Opportunities to travel alone have never come up. I did go to Italy for 2 weeks with a group through church. My girlfriend and I shared rooms. We did well together, but I missed sharing things with DH,DDs and/or sister. I would go to Europe tomorrow, but would be sad if I could not share it with my nearest and dearest.

I guess I'm just not an independent soul. I've never considered traveling anywhere by myself.

I don't know. I love mountains. I'm afraid if I left I wouldn't come back. I haven't gone on a vacation since I was a kid. Having a break from work and family responsibilities would be glorious!

Ive done quite a few on my own - all inclusive in Cancun, Boston for a week, Canada/New England cruise, Bordeaux river cruise, Alaska cruise.
It is nice to spend the time re-evaluating what is going on.

I would be lonely by myself. I am just not an alone type person. If I did go, it would have to be somewhere where I would be sure to meet people looking to socialize. Maybe a cruise or something.
