I am a few more letters along the alphabet than a D, so I rarely go without a bra. Just too uncomfortable and I'm afraid I might kick one, if I am up and walking around Me too! I have a couple of bras that 'fit properly' -- that is, the cups are large enough to touch the center of my sternum (a foreign concept to me until the internet showed me the way and the places to buy J,K,L sizes...). I still want the thing OFF and make embarrassing, guttural sounds of pleasure upon its removal.

I only take off my bra to sleep. After nursing four babies, I'm not so perky anymore, and I hate the sweaty feeling of skin laying on skin. It was even worse when I was pregnant. I'm so short-waisted that my boobs would rest on my belly. I wore a bra 24/7.

It's not the bra I want to yank off at the end of the day, it's the shoes. Almost any shoes. I can't stand for my clodhoppers to be confined. Is it illegal to drive shoeless? According to my mother throughout my entire driving life...yes. I finally told her that if driving without shoes is my biggest offense of the law, I can live with that. Side note: I was flying to Oregon from LAX one time and mom asked me what I was wearing. I told her capris, shirt and my flip flops since it's only a 90 min. flight. At which point she says "oh, Nink, please don't wear your flip flops. If the plane crashes, they won't stay on your feet." I said "mom, if the plane plummets from the sky at 30,000 feet and the worse that happens to me is my $2.00 Old Navy flip flops come off, I'm calling it a win". I didn't wear them. Mother guilt.

My favorite word of the day is "freeboobing" although I doubt I'll have a chance to use it. Today I am freeboobing. I have to dress up and look appropriate every single day. Today the girls are free spirits and can bob up and down all they like. I won't go anywhere nor scare anyone. They need a rest. They are tired and need to be free! #Freethegirls! I am also Throbbing again! If it were only real!

I just wish there was a "sweatshirt for your boobs" bra for those of us with unusual cup sizes. I have no problem admitting that I am a 36G or H and even when I am wearing a properly fitting bra, it still feels great to take it off!
As a side note - has anyone ever had an allergic reaction to their bra? I recently got a couple new ones, and my favorite one is causing problems. Where the strap runs through the metal ring, I have red spots that itch like crazy! I'm not positive if it's from this bra or if my sports bra may have caused some chafing earlier that morning. I don't have any other allergies, so I thought it was really weird to suddenly start reacting to my bra!

Would police even notice or if they did, care, that you weren't wearing a bra? I'd find it highly inappropriate if they mentioned anything about it.

I prefer to be in a bra than braless. I too am a big breasted gal. The weight of my boobs without a bra is uncomfortable. I also don't like the bounce and sway others have mentioned. I wear these Boobie hammocks at night. They are soft and have a little bit of support. I wouldn't dare wear them as a sports bra.LOL there is not enough support for that despite what it's called. That's why I call them boobie hammocks. I will also wear these when I want my real bra off and I'm home for the day.

Am I the only person that prefers to wear a bra? I don't really like to take off my bra until I'm getting ready for bed. I have pretty huge boobs and want them to be supported well until I'm horizontal for the night. I sometimes will even wear a 'bralette' or light sports bra to bed if my boobs are causing me pain.
ETA: Obviously I did not read all the posts before posting, I'm glad I'm not the only one who prefers a bra.

I drive my kids to school and pick them up braless sometimes. When I'm feeling rebellious. I also worry my car will break down and I'll be stranded with my girls unsupported and everyone that drives by will know it. LOL.

My guess is you're not a DD or bigger. True dat! Not really. I'm a 32G, have been told by Drs that my breasts are extremely 'dense', and I prefer to wear a bra. I was also wondering if some people on here might be wearing the wrong sized bra.

I've also picked up my kids in pajamas before. My youngest yelled out to the entire carpool "Hey guys my mom is in her PAJAMAS STILL! LOLOLOLOL" I just about died. I wanted to get out and and explain I work the night shift. But I just laughed and thought, whatevs...haters gonna hate.

Lexica what is this sweatshirt bra of which you speak? I think I need one. The bra is a Bali Comfort Revolution bra, style #3463. They go up to a 42DD in size. I started out buying two because of the price deal at the time. I returned for 3 more after wearing and washing a few times to make sure they didn't fall apart in the wash. I know I should probably hand wash bras, but it is just so easy to toss them in the machine on gentle. I don't put them in the dryer, and that is as much special care as they get. If you are going to try one, check around for a good price. I am using Amazon just to show you the bra and some reviews, but you can find it much cheaper. The first time I bought them they were $16.99 each if you bought two. The next was $19.99 each, but with free shipping. And I continue to think of them as sweatpants for my tits because Compwalla's description was my favorite description of wireless bras ever. www.amazon.com/Bali-Womens-Comfort-Revolution-Wirefree/dp/B00550R2I8

I replied already that I was....DD here.....a women who knows how to buy a proper fitting bra. Yes, no other woman on this thread is smart enough to get properly fitted and is wearing the wrong sized bra and shouldn't complain because it's our own fault. /end sarcasm Or maybe every woman's boobs are different Boobs feel different throughout the month depending on your cycle, how dense your boobs are, how old you are, etc. It's really bitchy to tell all of us that the reason we hate wearing bras is simply that they're the wrong size. Perhaps bra issues are a maybe a *bit* more complicated than that.

I thought of one tonight- the MOVIES!! I was at the new Bond movie with Dh tonight. I was a little uncomfortable cause unfortunately I started that time of the month yesterday, and we had the 2nd row. It's the assigned seating which I don't mind because it's the nice recliners. So i could at least get recliners but I couldn't watch some of the scenes because I was gonna be sick. I was ready to take my bra off. If I hadn't had a lighter color top on I probably would have. Plus it's a little chilly out. lol. But man I was already light headed. Note to self no more 2nd row seats. and find a lighter weight bra for movies

Buy yourself a proper fitting bra and you won't feel the need to yank it off. Really? Proper fitting bras for me at 34E are like scaffolding. Yes, they fit 'properly' and they do the job they are supposed to do and I'm happy to wear it all day but they are restrictive and by definition, fit very closely around my rib cage. Therefore it is still a relief to take it off at the end of the day - not because it's ill fitting but because proper fitting = close fitting.

Plus it's a little chilly out. lol. But man I was already light headed. Note to self no more 2nd row seats. and find a lighter weight bra for movies I can completely commiserate with you. The college I attended had amazing semiformal fine arts evenings with music and plays. Groups like The Black Watch and Band of the Scottish Guards, Vienna Boy's Choir, and Shakespearian plays and operas put on by the college's drama department or invited groups. These evenings gave the girls chances to dress up and everyone was encouraged to bring a date. Dh loves fine art events and really enjoyed our semi formal evenings and went all out with flowers and dressing up. I would browse consignment and thrift stores for evening dresses that were modest--which was a challenge. Dh's favourite dress of mine was a Jessica McClintock black damask long skirt and matching corset boned bodice that was off the shoulders and trimmed with thick white lace. The top fitted best with a longline strapless bra. most similar to this dress except mine was two piece. The dress was gorgeous and fit so well when I stood up and sat in a normal hard chair. There was a huge problem when I had to sit in the upholstered fold up seats that are so common in fine arts theatres. My longline bra and the bottom of the corset stays dug into my waist. I couldn't sit comfortably. I had to reach underneath my top and fold the bottom of my bra up. This would be embarrassing *anywhere*, but you can imagine my terror with doing something that would be considered completely immodest. I tried fixing it in the bathroom, but I couldn't walk with the bottom of the bra folded up because it was very obvious, not to mention that I didn't know what would be most comfortable for the 2+ hour opera until I sat down. Dh was so sweet and helpful. He took off his jacket and leaned forward so nobody else on his side of the row could see me putting my hands under my top. A female friend of ours had come with us because she didn't have a date and didn't want to go alone--dh was so sweet and didn't treat my friends like 3rd wheels. He even brought her yellow roses. So my friend leaned forward so nobody saw anything on her side. I was able to enjoy the opera once the bottom of my bra was moved and my top fit over the macguyvered bra. To fix the stays on the bodice itself, I was able to break the plastic stays in half. After this horrible experience, my mom helped me cut off the long skirt so it came to the bottom of the knee. Many girls recycled their dresses because we had 6-8 events a year. We also traded dresses. The rules had changed about sleeveless dresses so we used the extra material to cover the thin straps that held the bodice in place. This also fixed the issue with the longline bra because I could wear a normal black bra because covering the straps that held up the bodice covered the bra as well. The extra material also helped keep the thick folds of the wrap that was off the shoulder in place. (if anyone had one of these gorgeous Jessica McClintock creations knows how hard it was to keep both sides even and not falling down if the fit wasn't perfect.) I really wish I could have just taken off my bra, but I had nowhere to keep it. I also couldn't risk a roommate or someone else on our floor tattling on me when I got back to my room that night. The friend that went with dh and me would have also gotten in trouble if she hadn't told what I did. The school has since changed a lot of their rules like the ones on ratting out other people as well as ultra conservative wardrobe modesty rules--pantyhose aren't required at all times and neither are skirts or dresses. Hems are a bit higher and the rules on formal wear are relaxed--bra straps can't show, but I think that's a good rule period.

nope never have. I don't even take my bra off til right before I get in bed, shrug, I also put one on in the morning before leaving my bedroom. just have never been totally bothered by a bra if it fits well, and I dont know, somehow seems disrespectful to be without on in front of my kids(both to them and to me)but again Ive never been so bothered by a bra that I *needed* to get it off or do without.. not super big 38C so maybe thats some of it too? I don't wear underwire because I do hate them since the wires always wind up poking through so I just dont buy those
I am one of those that hates shoes though, those come off ASAP often in the car before I get home and I always drive barefoot when Im wearing flip flops, ive had sandals and flip flops get hung on pedals before and think thats more dangerous than driving barefoot

I have never felt the need to whip my bra off, but I also hardly require one. It is mostly there for nipple coverage, I'm not a well endowed woman in the chest area.

Lexica I have a few of those sweatpants for boobs bras too. They're great for sleeping in, as I had to do after a biopsy, and I love them for running (but as I've mentioned, I'm not a busty gal).

They are perfect to switch to when I come home. I have slept in them too, but not intentionally. I think I am watching Netflix and then wake up thinking I must have just dozed off. A quick check of the clock to see how many more hours of sleep I get before morning and oops, it already is morning! I wish I would have had a few of these bras years ago.

I have two of these bras and love them. Genie braIt looks like there's no separation between the cups, but if you wear a larger size there is. It also give enough support that you can wear it under a sweatshirt when you need to hoist your boobs up to their normal spot but don't need the normal two cup armour bra because of how thick your shirt is. I know there's different opinions about whether going braless makes your boobs sag more or lets the ligaments and muscles start to support your bust. In my experience with going bra less for a few weeks when I've been too sick to go anywhere, my bust feels tighter and less saggy.
