not my bra......but years ago we'd hardly make it out of the church parking lot before I was yanking my pantyhose off.

My boobs are too big to go anywhere in public without a bra. Even my car is to public for these things. I don't get to take my bra off until I go to bed because I have my sisters boyfriend, two young boys, and the two young boys friends running around my house all day.

Buy yourself a proper fitting bra and you won't feel the need to yank it off.

Buy yourself a proper fitting bra and you won't feel the need to yank it off. My guess is you're not a DD or bigger.

Never took it off in the car. The bra, shoes, clothes, everything comes off as soon as I walk in the door. I put on a tank top and soft gym shorts when it's warm and sweats when it's cold. I don't know how I stayed fully dressed all day long when I worked...

It's not the bra I want to yank off at the end of the day, it's the shoes. Almost any shoes. I can't stand for my clodhoppers to be confined. Is it illegal to drive shoeless? I take my shoes off in the car; I don't care if it's legal or not. But if I'm working with clients, that means I'm commuting to Manhattan on mass transportation and walking around. I bring flip flops/sneakers to change into, but I still end up walking a lot in shoes. And even "sensible" shoes hurt like hell. I have a bunion and I need orthotics...not a pretty sight, that's all I'll say. About bras - I pull that underwire out as soon as I get them. I can't stand the way these instruments of torture they make for us dig into my ribs.

Ok, I'll be the weird one: I wear a bra all the time, except when taking a shower. I do not like the feeling when going bra-less (D cup gal). My girls must have agoraphobia!

I had no idea that it was illegal to drive without shoes. I wear flip flops most of the year, I always take oft my right one and put it in the driver's side door. I have had one get caught while driving and it isn't worth the risk for me. It isn't illegal. I think it's just "not recommended". You're right. Having been told it was illegal by both a cop and a Drivers Ed teacher, and everyone else I know agreeing with it, I had to look it up. Apparently there are no state or federal laws making barefoot driving illegal at this time. I couldn't find anything on municipal laws, either way. What I did find were strong recommendations against it and warnings about how dangerous it was and the consequences that would befall the poor soleless driver if it was a factor in a crash. Apparently it's a common myth that's taken as gospel even by those who should know better. For me, this now falls under the "You Learn Something New Everyday" and "Now I Won't Feel So Guilty Next Time I Do It" categories. And it makes me wonder what else they were wrong about.

My puppies are such a size that they don't need to be tethered. The officer would be writing my ticket without giving me a second glance. Ditto this. And I don't ever take it right off, I just unhook it at the back. Ah, the blessed relief!

It's come up on previous threads that many of us even sleep in bras. Weird would probably be the Pea who would take off her bra and then shove small stuffed animal toys under the girls for support. Does anyone remember that? I think of it every time I see a Beany Baby. OTOH, she may have been a genius.

I will go braless pretty much anytime and anywhere. If someone doesn't like it, that's their problem.

Add me to the list of being more comfortable with a bra on. I'm a DD too and some months my hormones go wonky and the thought of taking my bra off makes me cringe in pain!

You'll never see me outside my home without a bra. Or in pajama pants. Or with hotrollers in my hair. Or applying make up in my car. I am crisis ready - if I get into an accident, get called to an emergency, decide to stop at the store, have to pick up a kid at school... I'm always put together when I'm out. Sorry, that sounds pretentious, but it's true.

On a parenting message board I was on when I was pregnant last time, there were a few people who used a hands free pumping bra to pump while they commuted. One of them was pulled over while hooked up to the breast pump. Umm...how do you explain that one. I pumped and drove. It was the best and oddest thing at the same time!

I can't wait to take off my bra the minute i get home from almost anywhere. Hate them. But I'm a DD gal since gaining weight and man, I remember foolishly pining for boobs back when I was thin and fairly flat chested. I'd trade back in a heartbeat if I could!

It feels really weird, though, to drive without shoes on. The pedals feel weird and less responsive. It scares me just a little.

I have gotten to my destination only to discover that I had no shopes with me - I nearly always drive barefoot.

I currently need new bras...all of mine have been relieved of their underwires and are currently my "home comfy" bras, but are doing more than home comfy service.

I am a mere B cup but am very uncomforatable being braless. I generally take it off right before I go to sleep, sometimes not. My 20yo dd is a DD and has always worn a bra to sleep AND she only wears underwire bras. I never told her to do this and think it sounds mighty uncomfortable but she claims otherwise.

The need to get home to remove my bra is so strong I have even sacrificed opportunities for food, water and other basic life necessities. Not that the bra does not fit well, I just cannot stand being encased.
My sister was the same way. When she first started wearing a bra I remember walking home from the school bus stop and I guess at some point her bra was off and she would be absentmindedly swinging it she strolled down the street.

I actually sleep in a bra more often than I don't. I'll often put on my exercise clothes, including sports bra, before bed so that I'm ready to exercise when I wake up. Or sometimes I just am to tired and lazy at night to take of my regular bra. But, as an A cup it's not like the bra is doing much anyways.

I'd like to add that yes, a well-fitting bra is going to be a lot more comfortable but sometimes it's just nice to not have it on. I spent most of my summer braless because of all my surgeries. After my lung surgery I had a drain that was placed right under my boob, exactly where the wire or band would sit. Even a stretchy sweatpants-for-your-tits bra was impossible for awhile. The scar still bothers me after wearing a bra for several hours so off it goes at the first opportunity.

I am a few more letters along the alphabet than a D, so I rarely go without a bra. Just too uncomfortable and I'm afraid I might kick one, if I am up and walking around

I'm enjoying this thread, but have to admit I'm way more comfortable in a bra than out. This is me. I only take it off when I go to bed. A bra makes me feel together. I don't like the sway and bounce without one. I am a D.
