And I love it so. Lol!
I was really hesitant about getting one because it seemed useless if you had to Bluetooth it to your phone. Just use your phone, right?
The main reason I have it is because I have a big trip coming up and I wanted to make use of the 'buzz one time turn this way, buzz two times turn that way' feature. That way I won't be constantly having to look at my phone to figure out where I'm going.
I also have to use my timer a lot at work. Sometimes I'm not at my desk when it goes off, which is annoying to everyone else. And defeats the purpose of the timer. Lol. But now I set them on my watch, it buzzes me discretely so no one is bothered, and I have it with me always.
All the fitness possibilities look promising too.
I have only had it for a couple of days and I don't find it as intuitive as other Apple devices. For example, it took me forever to figure out how to remove the Cupertino info and I am still learning how to navigate through it all. But I think this has the potential to be considered a must have for me.
Anyone else have one? Do you find it useful? Tips?

I have one and I love it - I call it "my baby."
I'm a Zumba instructor and love having the ability to control my music from my watch. When I teach Zumba Kids, I have to constantly stop and restart music (we break down the dances for them and then start the music over each time). Going back and forth to the stereo was a pain, plus the kids would see that time as "play time." Now, it's all so seamless and smooth!
I also love having a timer on my wrist. I have ADHD and setting the timer on my watch is crucial if I ever want to get my laundry done LOL.

I'm pretty sure that DD and DH are getting me one for Christmas, and I really hope they do. I love reading about why people love theirs and the things that it can do, and look forward to seeing how it develops over time, too. Enjoy yours!!!

I've been wondering if a smart watch would be helpful for my ADHD college-age son. Are there any other features that you find particularly helpful when it comes to memory or organization - or any other ways you're using the timer?

I'm a substitute teacher and its handy for me to see where I'm supposed to be with a quick look at my wrist. The fitness apps are handy too. If I stay sitting for too long, it'll remind me to get up and move for a bit.

My husband has worn hearing aids most of his life. The new kinds have adjustments you can make from your phone to accommodate various environments, like restaurants or movie theaters. With the apple watch, he can quickly adjust his hearing aids. Plus I notice he's exercising more now that he's forced to see how much time he's spending walking.

I don't have one because I'm just not a watch person. My DH has one though and LOVES it! He actually gave his mom one for her birthday and she loves hers too.

My fitbit just died and I'm wondering if I should bite the bullet and get the watch instead of another fitbit. Not just for the exercise app but because of some of the other features as well.

Dh has one and it's cool but still too big for me. Hopefully they redesign it a little.

I am currently working yet another 80 hour work week, so I haven't had a chance to sit down and play with it and figure out what it can do. But I'm still excited about it. Lol.
I really really really don't like the charger though. I haven't checked yet to see if they have one with a shorter cord. Like other Apple devices, the battery life sucks, so while I could get one of those stands and have a stationary place to charge it, I'm carrying the charger with me so the battery doesn't die.
I bought a few apps for it and have *no clue* how to access them yet. I plan to spend all day Saturday figuring this thing out.

I've tried to get my Mother to switch to an iPhone for years, maybe this will help sway her.

My DS would love the Apple Watch but can't wear a watch at work so is hesitating about buying one - so it is going to be his Christmas present this year!

This is exactly how I justified the cost. I figured you'd spend 100 on a watch, 100 on a fitness tracker. So that's only another 150 spent on the "smart watch" part! (if you get the 350 Apple Sport Watch)

My dh returned his.
He wore it for a few runs and the knob / dial - what is it called?? - started sticking. When he took it in they told him how to fix it (washing with soap very carefully) then he ran again and it stuck again (from sweat). They told him he might have to do the 'fix' after every run. He decided it wasn't a good sports watch and so he returned it.

If you decide to get another Fitbit, Kohls has several models on sale in their Black Friday ad. I was just pawing through it.

Mine will last almost two days without charging. I just put it on my nightstand on the charger at bedtime and it's good to go. Wonder if yours is defective?

Can I ask one dumb question, how does the watch work? As in does it cost more money monthly for 3G? I've yet to look into the watch much but am intrigue and thinking it might go on my wish list. I know I could google but I'm sitting in car for school pick up and don't want to use up all my 3G.

I did update the watch and noticed that it said it fixed a battery drain issue or something like that. So we'll see if that makes a difference. I can wear it a full day without charging, but not 2. I simply need to get in the habit of charging it when I sleep.

So pretty! I am regretting not getting the rose gold one. I got the black one because I know me and know when the new model comes out, I'll want it and I can pass this one down to my son. Who wouldn't be thrilled with a rose gold watch. Lol. Love it, love it, love it! Hadn't regularly worn a watch for a few years, but wear this daily! I love how easy it is to switch bands! I didn't realize there were interchangeable bands. Yes, bands simply click in and out - very easy. Genuine Apple bands are pricey, but there is a huge 3rd party Apple watch band market out there. This leather one with roses was $15 on Amazon. I have the blue sport band it came with and a plain pink leather one too.

I know I could google but I'm sitting in car for school pick up and don't want to use up all my 3G. It doesn't cost more monthly for 3G, as it connects to the Internet through your phone. So, when you use it to text or a number of apps, it accesses your phone's connection and data. i haven't had an issue with it using more data, but I never use all my data anyhow.

Target is offering a $100 gift card with the purchase of the Apple Watch. I am trying to jump on this deal, however, I don't know if this offer is good for today's one day online purchase or only for black Friday - and of course, good while supplies last and Oh, don't forget to use your target red card to get your 5% discount.
