I have a bonus challenge for this crop... using paper straws in your project! I've shared some of my own paper straw layouts here before. You can see them here, if you'd like. I made a Pinterest board with layout and other paper straw craft ideas for some inspiration:

I just bought a bunch too! I knew I wanted some after Ashely posted some of her straw layouts at the last HH. And I just pulled them out before jumping back on the computer and reading this! fortuitous

I thought of you last weekend when I was at Michael's and saw they had paper straws in their dollar bins (which are actually 1.50 bins here in Canada --annoying! haha).

That's where I found most of them. They had some great color packs with like 4 different designs. They were $1.50 at my Michaels too. But I bought one pack at the grocery store that is a Halloween set (orange with bats) we used a few for our Halloween celebration. And I'll use one our Halloween page(s) for sure.

Ashley, you're so creative. I love your straw layouts -- I'm going to have to buy some. It never would have occurred to me to use a straw!

I didn't have any paper straws but found these blue ones yesterday. Decided to make a wreath with a Star of David. Totally awesome!

This was fun! I cut up the straws and used them as birthday candles. I'm making a set of cards for my mom, and these would be perfect for her to send to my nieces. It's not the most creative (there are tons of similar cards on pinterest), but it works for me. CH15-4a Paper straws by Mary Ann Erickson, on Flickr CH15-4a Paper straws by Mary Ann Erickson, on Flickr ETA: sorry for the lousy lighting in the photos. I tried to color correct in PS, but it doesn't substitute for photographing during actual daylight.
