In the past, I've made my own egg replacement using flax seeds and water, but I recall they only worked well in certain things like chocolate cupcakes or banana muffins.
I would love a tried-and-true recipe for a baked good that is egg-free. Preferably something relatively easy to make, that could be served to a large-ish group of people.

Research Wacky Cake. Its roots are supposedly from the Depression era and is dairy and egg free. I have made a couple of variations for my dairy free kid, and it's actually a decent cake. There are a million different recipes.

My vegan daughter loves to bake and regularly replaces eggs in cookie recipes with corn starch and water. You would absolutely never know.

I have gone through all my baking recipes, and the only thing I could find that was egg free is chocolate cobblerI do make this ALL. THE. TIME. because there is nothing that satisfies PMS chocolate cravings better than this stuff, but I don't know if it is what you are looking for? I have made it for book club and there are 12 of us and there was some left over, but those women eat like birds so I would say depending on how many you are feeding you may need to make two. I don't think it would be a good recipe to double because of the gooey middle. It isn't particularly fallish though. But a very good chocolate dessert and can be served with whipped cream or ice cream. And while it is easy peasy to make, the finished product is kind of fancy. It is one of the most requested desserts around here.
