I got one 2-page layout done on Saturday (but didn't look to see if it fits any of the challenges), and sorted a giant tub of perler beads because I finished up a big My Little Pony thing for DD and needed that stuff off of my work table. My kid was sick so I was preoccupied with her most of the day and couldn't really get into my groove with anything. Then yesterday was killed by taking her to urgent care (ear infection, yay), getting her Rx and getting a cone for one of our dogs who has a hot spot forming on his leg that he won't leave alone. DD is home from school today and probably tomorrow too because the Rx is making her throw up (last night all over herself, my bed and her teddy). Fun times, fun times when DH is off hunting for the whole week! So sorry dd has an ear infection - and all the clean up you'll have from medicine issues. No fun! Hope she feels better soon. Thanks. Poor kid barfed again this afternoon after taking it, so I emailed her regular doctor and got a new Rx for the one she had last month that she seemed to tolerate a lot better. It was a bummer that I spent $36 on the stuff that made her sick that now can't be used or returned. If there is a silver lining to a kid puking in your bed, it was that it happened at 8:30 pm instead of 12:30 am, so I was able to get Teddy washed and dried for her last night (I think he still smells a little gamy but she said he was fine) and the bed remade before I wanted to go to bed myself. And I'm really thanking God I wasn't in the path of the vomit comet either time! Once she goes back to school this week, I think Teddy's going to have another "spa day" in the washer!

Yes, I would consider that a blessing. Why is it that the norm is for our children to vomit in the middle of the night or seriously usually 15 minutes after I just fell asleep and then you're up all night?

What is up with that? I swear nothing wakes me up faster than the sound of someone or something retching especially anywhere close to my bed. Gross!

Luckily my dog hasn't done that in my bedroom. knock on wood. My cat - well, that's a different story.
