Ok- I have been selling on ebay for years and always print labels after I get the "paid" prompt. Long story short-buyer has 2 homes and last item she bought was shipped to the home she is not living in right now. Not sure how or why the address mix-up - that's not my question. Question is what's the fastest way to get her item from "old" home to present home? I told her to contact PO and asked to have it forwarded. Is there anything else that I can do? I am going to refund her shipping just because I'm a good seller.

It is her responsibility to make the address changes from one house to the other. She needs to work with her post office. She may need to contact a neighbor at the house where it is and have them forward it to her. I wouldn't be so quick to refund her shipping. 1. It was her responsibility not yours. 2. Suppose she then claims that she never received the item after it was forwarded and you had already gone ahead and reimbursed her shipping. That's putting the blame on you.

She messed up by not having her current address (where she currently lives) on file with eBay. No way would I eat that mistake on her part.

zztop11 I understand that- I was just trying to help her out. She is a great customer and the last item I sent her in October went to correct address. I explained to her that somehow her old address was set as her primary- but she is insistent that it was set at her current one. I don't want to lose her business!

This sort of happened to me once. We had moved. I think I remember that I changed my shipping address for eBay, but not for Paypal? Or maybe vice versa?

It is the buyer's responsibility to make sure that the address linked to their Paypal account is the right & proper address. And because she didn't do that properly, it is now her responsibility to get that package forwarded to her new address. I do not know what would be the fastest, safest, best way to do that. Contacting her Post Office is definitely a good next step for her. It's totally up to you if you wish to refund her shipping, but it's certainly well above & beyond anything that should rationally be expected of you. And I certainly wouldn't think any less of a seller who did not choose to do so. I think it makes you a generous person, but doesn't reflect one way or another on your selling. I hope it doesn't set a bad precedent if she makes any future mistakes that result in a negative financial situation, though. Best of luck!

I've had this issue with one particular vendor and Paypal. It's not EBAY, but an on-line store, but it is a similar story. Dd was away for the summer and had a temporary address that I used to send her a single package. When I ordered again from that company, I caught the error in a shipping confirmation email. I made sure to delete the address from company site. I ordered a second time, same thing happened! And then a third time.
I have deleted the temporary address from every place I can find, including Amazon which was unrelated. I have spent too long on the phone with Paypal and this vendor to no avail. I just have to remember that I cannot use Paypal when I order from this one company, a company that used to get a great deal of my business. The company blames Paypal and Paypal says it's not in their system either.

Although you're not at fault, I totally understand the need to keep your regular customer happy. I would make it clear to her though, that you are only paying for the shipping because she is such a good customer and you appreciate her repeat business.
