Can someone explain this trend to me? I know I have seen it in ABM's Messy Box (which I do not sub to, but I like to know what supplies are out there!) Basic Grey Barista. And now Crate Paper's new Valentine Line Hello Love...Is this the new Mustache? I am sorry, but so far not a fan...

Do you mean the blinking eyelashes? I don't get it either but they're everywhere. I think you are right - the next mustache! I see them everywhere - on knit hats, iPhone cases, shoes, bags, etc.

I think it's sort of a modern, minimalist version of the smiley face.

I'm not a fan of the mustache or the eyelashes. Or the eyeglasses. I don't get it. {shrug}

I just tossed some eyeglasses and mustaches that I knew I couldn't alter to something normal. I'd do the same with eyelashes. Not my style at all.

I'm so pleased you asked this question! I couldn't work it out either. Definitely not my style! (I was looking for an eyelash emoji <g>)

Yeah, not my style - not generic enough.
Flowers - generic (if girlie). Arrows - generic. Typewriters, telephones, pineapples, chandeliers, foxes, zebras, gems/diamonds, glasses, moustaches etc. ... specific!

I haven't seen this either, and I don't think I'll be rushing out to get products. It sounds a bit silly to me.

Wow! I just went and looked. I can't even imagine. You know even the mustache I could use a couple of times with my big kid (DH) and the children making mustaches for themselves out of felt and out of paper napkins. But I didn't need them on every. single. thing. I hope the eyes don't get like that. That sketchy eye in Barista is kind of creepy.
ETA: That's it. You can use them on creepy cards to freak people out.

Minus the eyes, I kind like that collection! Thanks for posting this! I think we should have an on-going topic with all new lines and sneaks and links to new stuff as I live for new products. I may not buy them, but I love to see them And yeah, the eye trend, don't get it, don't need it.

LOL my scrapbooking is much too literal to get into any of that specific trendy stuff. I could see using paper with jewels on it for an engagement page, or hot air balloons if you had pics of that but not mustaches or foxes or eyelashes or glasses if they didn't somehow relate to the theme of the page.

I do kind of like the eyelashes but doubt I will have photos to use them.

Eyelashes, look sweet in collection above. But doubt I'd use them. Maybe once on a baby page about my DS very long lashes? I'm not really a literal scrapper but they're a little undefined floating around on their own.
Love Barista, the eye is odd though. Mustaches were multipurpose, comparatively.
Thanks for heads up on trend!

I could see the Crate Paper eyelashes being used on page about how DS & DD both inherited their Dad's long eyelashes. Still not a fan of the Barista eye for scrapbooking, but I would probably use it on an art journal page.

Send me your creepy eyes, I think they're cute! I'll take any foxes, typewriters, and eyeglasses you don't want too!
