My husband and I have the chance to rent a nice place for 4 nights before Thanksgiving in North Wildwood NJ. We don't mind the peace and quiet. The place will be nice with a nice view. I'm just wondering if we'll get bored. We'll have 3 full days there. We're going to Jersey for Thanksgiving so this would be something added on. Just can't decide if we should or not. What are your opinions of Cape May/Wildwood this time of year? Thanks.

Cape May is beautiful. See if it's having the Christmas activities. You can walk around the Victorian houses all decorated in the style. It's lovely.

Cape may is beautiful this time of year. If your staying in Wildwood make sure to make your way down to cape may the town is georgeous.
Though actual planned activities will be few and far between those 4 days plenty of places should be open.

Cape May has been hopping every time I've been there, regardless of time of year.

I don't know about the week you are going but we went in December a few years back and loved all the Christmas activities and shopping, dining out, and relaxing.

I agree Cape May is a great time to visit this time of year. All of the stores are still open. There is a handmade soap shop underneath the Christmas shop you should visit. And a really good kettle corn place. If you don't mind driving up the coast about 45 minutes, go to Margate. There are some fantastic restaurants open year round. Steve and Cookies and Tomatoes are our favorites. And if you go just 10 minutes further, you can hit Atlantic City for outlet shopping or gambling.

Depending on the weather, it can get mighty cold, I would think this time of the year would be far more pleasant than the summer months when it is filled to capacity with so mny tourists. I went to school in Cape MAy Court House and spent my summer days in Stone Harbor at the beaches or the boardwalk in Wildwood. My Dad was stationed in Cape May. I haven't been there in many, many years but I hear that it is still nice. Cape May has always been beautiful with al the old victorian houses. I heard that there is a zoo in CMCH now. I bet you can go on tripadvisor and look for some ideas of what to do there.

Sounds great! I can't imagine ever being bored at the beach. But we stay a month in OC, MD in the summer and it's never enough time. Maybe the weather will be nice enough to go on walks on the beach. And yes, check out Christmas activities. Have fun!
