My girl too. And she's going to college this fall. I fear for her roommate.... Just think what the college room could be like if your DDs roommate is as untidy. ...fingers in ears, eyes closed...can't go there!

Typical of all kids. They'll hide it before throwing it.

Um, this is how myu husband cleans off the kitchen table. He piled EVERYTHING into a box and shoves it under the extra bed. I learned the hard way after I had to reorder bills sent to me to be paid. I've come to realize that he and I have different ideas of cleaning..... OMG - my DH does this too! Except exchange junk drawer for box under the bed. Granted - I'm just as bad leaving the pile of papers on the island in the kitchen, but instead of shoving it ALL in the junk drawer, why not sort it? Put the newspapers/flyers in the recycle bin and the bills on my desk? (and yes, I could do this too...LOL) But mostly, he'll take a pile of junk mail and instead of tossing it, shoves it in the drawer. Sigh.

OMG - I had to laugh. This is something my boys would do, it drives me nuts.

That is exactly something girls would do!
It's unbelievable what we find under our daughters bed when we clean it (which I do often because I can't stand clutter. It only takes a couple months for it to get out of hand!

Ah, the memories - I've got 4 boys! But I didn't clean up their mess - they made it, they cleaned it. With me checking every few minutes to make sure it was done properly.

That looks exactly like something my 13 year old boy would do - except he stuffs everything behind his desk or under his dresser. It's scary!

Oh heavens, does that bring back memories of my now 46 year old ds when he was that age. Glad my kids are grown...but I sure do miss them.

Ewww! My son has a loft bed. I think I'm going to make him keep it. I also do what I call an "edge check" around my kids rooms when they "clean" them because in kid land at our house "clean" means the center of the room can be vacuumed and the stuff can just be pushed up against the walls. (and they include trash in their acceptable list of stuff that can be pushed up against the walls). We were just discussing the loft bed. Can you tell me, does he like it? What does he use the space underneath for? What kind is it? How far off the ground is the bed and how far from the ceiling? It's just from IKEA, but he got it years ago, it's low instead of really high. Currently he plays LEGO under there. It's too low for a desk or anything like that. He wants to upgrade to one with a desk, it's on the table for discussion, but I might be inclined to go forward now.

Am I the only one that finds tissues under their own bed? My allergies are so bad I frequently use one almost in my sleep. The morning comes and I gather and trash, but apparently some sneak away from me in the night.

Pretty soon you'll be finding socks in his sheets. I remember telling a friend about raising boys and finding a bunch of tube socks at the bottom of the sheets. She looked horrified when I told her what was going on and said she had just washed his sheets and there were a bunch there. My kids started doing their own laundry at seven. It makes me much happier not to see any of that.

My dd used to do that when she was younger..so gross! Once we found it she wasn't allowed to have any food or drink I. Her room. That really cut down on the amount of trash she had to hid.
