I fell asleep early in the evening and it's 1 am now and can't sleep. A lot happened today and it is still running through my head (very quickly, too!)
My son (who I love to death) has injured himself by overdoing something. He can't do anything part way. He was lifting weights, did something maybe to his back and now the front of his leg has no feeling and he can't walk properly. He went to the chiro and she said to see a doctor. (He thought his back was out.) Dr. says he needs an MRI. There is drama around that. When he was finished venting and the drama, I told him "go play your new video game and get something you like to drink". That calmed him down when I talked to him later.
Tonight there are issues with the dog. He seems to have eaten something "odd" and now has gas. I am going to barf soon. Dog, go outside. NOW! I am awake and will take out you. Did I mention he is cute?
My mom had a good day. I am learning when is a better time to go see her. Apparently it is in the afternoon.
I need to do my journaling and so far have been putting it off.

Oh my Kiki....what state are you in? I am n Ohio...do not like high winds ...we live in the woods here... I'm in TX. We ended up fine, but some places had some strong straight-line winds and lost trees/18 wheelers blown over, lost fences, and other things.

Scary...my husband drives a semi... and how did you loss the weight, I have 50 to lose and no drive to do it... Weight Watchers. My motivation was being diagnosed as pre-diabetic. After losing the weight, there are no longer signs. It took a lot for me to get motivated.

I went to bed late last night and am awake extra early. I like winter weather, but when the blizzard is blowing so loudly that you can't sleep, it's very frustrating! And this is already our second one of the season~ it's going to be a long winter!

I was up worrying and stressed about Olaf our new dog the last 2 nights, I was up at 3 am the day we got him, and only slept 3 hours last night. I was sure he had heartworm, the rescue said most do so be ready, and his cough and snuffling was so bad I truly thought he may be dead in the morning. He can barely walk because his back legs are...weird? I cant describe it. Its terrible to see him walk though.
BUT- sleeping like a baby tonight!!! No heartworm!!! Eye, gum and lung infections, but not that thank God. Maybe hip dysplasia or an old badly healed injury, but maybe just severe atrophy from being on a 4 foot chain his entire life and malnourished. So his walk could get better with muscle and weight, he isnt locked into being a sad, shuffling painfully dog. He can get vaccines in 2 weeks when his i fections are cleared up and he has more weight, then grooming after that, then x rays for the legs to see what is what when he can tolerate sedation, then be neutered and teeth cleaned when he is at good health.
We can do that! Its possible- nothing there is not possible. He is going to be ok. I talked with an owner of another rescue pyrenees for a long time tonight and she was even worse off than Olaf- but she is beautiful and healthy now. You would not beleive the photos. So he can, too.
So tonight, I sleep!!
