I purchased some today as I want to make a wood sign as a gift. Is this vinyl strong enough or do I need to buy a permanent adhesive.
It's my first time doing vinyl and I don't want it to start peeling and look like crap after a short time.
Thanks!

It can depend. Does it say Oracal 631 on the back? If so - it is pretty good stuff. Not permanent, but very durable.
I prefer to Oracal 631 for almost all my craft type projects. I have made wood signs with it and it stays great. I have put it on flowerpots outside and it has lasted for a few years (outside year round in the midwest weather).

Years ago I cut snowflakes out of it and put them on my back car window. It survived a California winter and the back window wiper being used occasionally. Different surface but once on it stuck until I wanted to remove it.
