When I started scrapbooking many years ago it was almost impossible to find anything in the 12 x 12 size - everything was 8 1/2 x 11 so when 12 x 12 became available I was overjoyed. However, after using that size almost exclusively all these years I'm finding that the finished albums are just too big - to store - to look at - you name it. We rarely get them out because you need a large, clean!, surface to rest them on as you look. Anyway - I went back to 8 1/2 by 11 a couple of years ago and was very happy with that size We R' Memory makers albums - but they are becoming hard to find in colors that I want. So I've been on the hunt for something comparable but I'm not having much luck. I've tried the 6 x 8 size albums, but I find that size to be awkward to work with - just not enough room on the page to do what I want. I like 8 x 8 for mini-albums, but they are somewhat hard to find also. Any ideas? What are you guys using? Thanks for any ideas.

I'm still using WRMK 3 ring 8.5x11"
And sometimes (less frequently) using 12x12" 3 ring WRMK.
My A C Moore still has a top shelf of WRMK albums at the clearance price of $9.99 each.
I think you can get them on Amazon, too.
Scrapbook.com?
Joanns.com?

I'm using up old Creative Memories 8 1/2x11 albums but recently made the switch to 9x12 which is a great size for pocket pages. Unfortunately not many manufacturers produce that size. I've been buying my albums from Studio Calico, however, Amerucan Crafts are now also making 9x12 under the Seven Paper label so hopefully those will be more widely available.

I've been wondering why it seems like all the WRMK albums and all their beautiful colors were disappearing. Wonder what's ahead for them. Would love to still see all those color options.

I emailed them just last week specifically about the strawberry album and whether new colors were coming. After a few email exchanges all I got from them was a suggestion to go look at the becky higgins albums. No other answers to my questions.

Michaels has some 8 1/2 x 11 albums. They are similar to the AC regular 8 1/2 x 11 albums.

I've seen some 8x8 albums at Michael's in the Project Life section. I think some of them are designed by Heidi Swapp. They look really nice!

I'm still using Creative Memories 12x12 albums. I tried one of the WRMK 12x12 albums and it seemed much bigger and bulkier than the CM album, so I switched back to the CM album. Plus the CM album was easier to fit on the shelf. CM is back in business now, and their albums come in 16 different colors. For the insides I like to just slide my pages into page protectors which I do by buying their Pocket Pages. I buy their single pocket page to slide in my page that I've made on a 12x12 piece of cardstock. If you like to scrapbook in Project Life style they offer various Pocket Pages to suit those needs. I like the 12x12 size because it gives me plenty of room to include 3-4 4x6 photos if I wish. I have scrapped in 81/2 x 11 and I felt too limited by the page size. I'm not a CM consultant-just a happy customer.

I'm not sure who does 8x8. I use Paper Studio from Hobby Lobby. I can't tell any difference in the quality from American Crafts which I used to order from 2P's.

Does anyone do 9x12 other than SC/AC? It's what I'd like to try next year.

I hoarded CM albums when they closed. I still like them the best, and I'm glad to see they are available again.
The WRMK albums are nice, too. I have some 8x8s. What Is AC thinking by not continuously manufacturing these? It's a terrible business decision. They are the industry standard, and everyone wants them!
9x12 seems like it would be a good size to work with. I hope you find something.

Thanks for the replies - it is getting hard to find a consistent supplier of quality albums. Hope this changes soon.

In a previous post I posted the PDF of colors that were retired. I haven't seen anything new from WRMK, but I have my fingers crossed for CHA.
