I don't know why but I have a fascination with true crime TV ... I record Dateline and 48 Hours every week ... maybe I'm weird Anyone else watch these shows?

I watch these shows frequently. I have told my husband that when he's done with me, just let me know and I'll leave, no need to make me disappear..... (It's almost always the spouse!)

When I remember to record them! I really need to set a season pass. Most Fridays and Saturdays I usually think, oh nothing new is on.

I've had insomnia issues for at least a couple of years and usually wake up and stay up for a couple of hours every night. I end up coming downstairs and watching Dateline on OWN. Most nights it's on all night long. It's always so exciting when an episode comes on that I haven't seen 37 times.

We don't watch 48 hours but we LOVE Dateline. We watch whenever it's on and we often will watch marathons on OWN or ID on the weekends.

Yes and the Investigative Discovery Channel. My dad was a homicide detective so that's why I think I am so addicted to them!

Nope, you're not weird (or else I am too!) I watch or record them both religiously. I catch them on the other channels too and save them to watch when nothing else is on. I love crime shows!

We record them every week. Sometimes they are more "background noise", but we do watch them pretty regularly.

I love true crime. Im always telling DH im going to go to work with him and his job. It got to the point where I would stay up all hours of the morning taking notes on crimes I reserched LOL! I don't mean this in a disrespectful way at all but I find kidnappings fascinating. I just don't understand how some people can just vanish in thin air...so weird.

DH hates those shows. I never noticed it until he mentioned it, but they must waste about 1/4 of the show time by repeating everything. They take the five minutes or so of show right before every commercial and repeat it right after. If they wouldn't do that, I would like the shows a whole lot more. I don't need that much repetition to follow along--yet! I think Forensic Files is better than the others but I haven't even watched that one in quite a while.

Yup. I am an addict. Forensic Files, 48 hours, Dateline, Dateline TLC....I watch them all.
I look Forward to Friday every week so I can get in my jammies and watch my mysteries. :-P
In fact, I am sitting here in my jammies right now wasting time until Dateline comes on at 9 pm.

My grandmother was obsessed with murder mystery novels. She was always reading one. She also had a scrapbook of newspaper clippings of famous murder mysteries. As far as I know she never committed any murders but if she had wanted to she could have gotten away with it! I must have her genes because I love the murder/mystery shows too!

I love these as well. Some of them like 20/20 are on Hulu.
I just finished watching the latest Law and Order SVU on Hulu. They never asked the perp how his semen got on the girl... his story never explained that. (not really a spoiler)
I would have loved being a detective. My dad was in law enforcement and worked sex crimes as a deputy sheriff. He liked these shows as well and always figured them out before they did. He taught me how to think logically and ask the right questions.
We had a local murder/suicide a few years ago. It didn't make any sense to me because the guy killed his wife and himself while they had a friend from out of town--another male--in the house. That just didn't make sense to me--why would you do this while you have company--usually couples wait to fight until after company leaves, unless the visitor is involved, and he was never considered a suspect. Our police force is tiny, though--we're a tiny town in the midst of 3 bigger cities.
