What is your favorite? Michaels, Hobby Lobby, Joanns or etc.
I love Michaels the best. It feels like a second home! Those weekly coupons are great and they have lots of variety in my favorite sections- papercrafting and art. Plus there is one very close by.

We only have Michaels here. When I'm by my mom, I like JoAnn best. The Michaels out there is a bit grubby. The Hobby Lobby has a fantastic selection, but the prices are not low. There used to be a bunch of LSS's by my mom, but they've almost all closed.

I prefer Mike's over HL or Joanne's. I've been shopping there for so long the employees asked me to sign a birthday card for the manager. Our Joanne's has very little paper crafts any more. HL doesn't change their stock often enough. They are all within a mile from each other.

They are all nice around here, but Hobby Lobby lets you use their coupons on almost everything including dies and books. Michael's and JoAnn's doesn't unless it's a coupon specifically for that and they are pretty rare.

Michaels - I use their Recollections 110 lb. card stock for all of my card bases. I do most of my craft shopping online but do use the big box stores for staples like adhesive, foam. etc. and always with a coupon!

Depends what I am buying.
I go to Joanns for the newest Heidi Swapp and Fiskers.
Hobby Lobby I get my adhesive (with a coupon) and any die cutting stuff.
Michaels is usually where I pick up any seasonal or PL items.

It depends on what I'm buying, too!
Joann's is my favorite for Heidi Swapp and Teresa Collins stuff. They seem to get more of a selection for holidays and whatnot too. My store is also very nice, big and has good customer service.
Michael's is good, but the one by me doesn't get what other stores seem to get. It's smaller, so I think that's why. If I want more selection, I have to drive quite a bit to another store that gets more stuff and then that one gets picked over/cleaned out faster. I do like their holiday selection of paper and embellishments though.
I do like Hobby Lobby, but I really don't like their Paper Studio Paper. I wish they sold less of it and more name brand stuff. I also think they tend to be expensive. I like their home decor type of stuff though.

Depends for me as well.
Although I don't have a HL close to me anymore. I probably like it the best because I like that they have namebrand collection kits and not just DCWV or the store brand and they are closed on Sundays.
It always depends upon the store though. Here I like J's the best and I tend to go to M's the most because it's closer.

Our JoAnn's is terrible, always looks like it has been ransacked, even though they just remodeled, so I never go there. Our Michael's is ok, but I dislike the fact that they have a full line of their own knock-off brands that have displaced the companies that started the trends in the first place. Even Tim Holtz is being edged out now with a vintage looking line that is displayed right next to his. I do like their Recollections cardstock, but other than that, I try to support actual name brand craft companies and artists. I dislike Hobby Lobby's politics and don't shop there at all. I stay out of the political threads on the NSBR for the most part, but when you mess with my crafting supplies, it's on! LOL!

I wonder why M's doesn't sell many of the top brands and created a Recollections line instead? I just wish they would have the top brands in their pp selection. I miss buying that double sided pp. I know I can order it online but I like seeing in person sometimes.

Ours is almost all their house brand (paper studios?). At least it hasn't consumed the embellishment section - yet.

Our AC Moore is the best for scrapbooking around here. They have a lot of stuff.
Joann's is okay with a sale and a coupon, but they don't have nearly the selection. Our Michaels used to have the most gorgeous scrapbooking section. Now it's relegated to 2 rows way in the back.
I think my favorite LSS is closing. They're selling off the fixtures and have barely any stock.

I wish we had an AC Moore. We lived Ina city with one for a bit and they had a nice scrappy area!

Our AC Moore is probably the best. We have all of the other big box stores, but AC Moore always has the current stuff.

I have several friends that love the Recollection lines. They absolutely refuse to pay $1 or more for a piece of paper. I think the more expensive lines have just out priced themselves at big box stores. I love the feel of a nice thick piece of paper. Archivers was my kryptonite. I could spend $20 on a two page layout there without even trying. I happen to like whichever store I happen to be driving by.

I shop mostly at Michael's because it is close. We have a Joann, but it is super tiny and they don't seem to have much. I do also love Hobby Lobby, but I do get sick of their pricing strategy. You really have to use a coupon to get a decent deal there.

I only have Michaels here. There are 2 of them. One is in a difficult location to get to, but it is closer to my house. The other one is about a 30 min drive from here on the highway. I used to work at the one way out, but I don't shop there as the one near me just remodeled and it is so big and the staff are so helpful. I think the manager of the store is doing a great job because the people who work there are happy. They seem happier than I have seen them in years and they are the same people from 2000! These is this one older lady and she seems to like her job now. Before it was a bore to her or so it seemed. Now she is chatty and genuinely seems happy. There are floor staff manning the floor which is wonderful and they carry a lot of new stuff and turnover is great!

My favorite is A C Moore.
I have both a Michael's & A C Moore close by, but ACM is my fave because the employees are friendlier to me. And the cashier always has a coupon from the paper ads that she will scan for me to give me the discount (I don't always remember to bring one, and I don't have a smartphone to just pull one up).

I hate them all. I hate that Michael's has gone to all Recollections knock offs. I hate that JoAnn's never has what I wanted in stock or won't let me use my coupon. I hate that HL has gone to their own paper line, too.
I want my Archivers and LSS store back, wah!

I like Hobby lobby but I hate to because I hate their politics but they have stuff I want. I'm a hypocrite when it comes to scrap stuff.

It's slim pickins at M's and J's in my area. The M's in my area is really only good for cardstock and adhesive these days. I haven't seen a 6x6 paper pad there in months. They have so little in the scrapbook section that I'd be interested in. J's is worse. The nearest Hobby Lobby is too far away and I never seem to get there. In the area where I used to live I could shop at all three and find something.

The J's closest to me has a tiny tiny scrapbook section. I have not once found anything scrappy there I wanted to buy... The bigger J's 7 miles away is more of the typical store. M's is 5 miles away but lately the scrap section has been blah! Hobby Lobby is 2-3 hours away and I've not been there yet. We have a local chain called Craft Warehouse that at least has name brand paper... but the scrap section seems to be being squeezed out lately and the prices are not always much of a deal. It's also 10 miles away.
I was excited when the J's opened a mile from my house but it's been disappointing and I wonder how long it will stay open...
