What do YOU want for Christmas?

I would like a typewriter for journaling in my PL and on layouts. I have a few vintage ones but they aren't in the greatest working order.
A few gift cards to some of the scrappy stores I like to shop to would be great too.

I know what I'm getting. My husband want to give it to me early, but that would ruin Christmas for me. I'm all about the anticipation.

I bought a new purse/wallet for DH to give me. My best gift is the plane tickets we purchased for DS and the grands to visit us for Christmas!

Scrappy gifts I asked for adhesive and some page protectors.
I also asked for rainboots, some hand sanitizer from BBW, some pralines, some reading glasses and a portable cell phone charger.
Should come to about $100.

There are tons of little things I would love (like a leather traveler's notebook, I'm really coveting those!) but I really just want to be able to afford decorations and gifts for my kids. The past couple of years were so lean, last year we didn't even have a tree. My husband was laid off a couple weeks ago, again, and now we're not sure how we'll be paying bills, much less holiday stuff. And I *know* we will be alright. I'm grateful to have a home and food. My kids are so little, they'll get plenty of gifts from family, they won't know a thing. But my son was stillborn back in June, things have just been crappy this year. I'd love to have a really nice, cozy, Christmas!
*sigh* That was a whole lot of word vomit. I'm sure we'll figure it out. I'm just in panic mode right now!

I want to be able to walk by Christmas. I broke my foot a couple weeks ago. I want my son home for Christmas. He's in the Marines and spent last Christmas playing in the sand. I want a decorated home, but we can't because all is pushed around so that I can roll around the house. I want to go up to my scrappy room but can't manage the stairs. I want to (gulp) go back to work, because my patients need me.
I know I'm whining, and I'm sorry. We are going up north for Thanksgiving, and that is great, because I get out of this house, but I will have to sleep in the living room, for all to see.
I can't honestly think of a thing I want for Christmas, and am having even a further brain block on what to give my husband and kids for Christmas. I would like to get our daughter a kitten, since she (we) lost our 18 yr old cat, whom she tried to save with CPR that day, but cannot get until I am up and moving around on two feet. She's old enough to care for him herself, but with me rolling around, it might not be wise.
Yeah I'm whiny, I'm sorry. Just trying to get in the holiday spirit and it's hard.....

We don't exchange gifts so I do something for myself. This year, I'm planning to spend some money on experiences to get myself out of the house and have a break in caring for everyone. I have to keep my schedule extremely flexible as doctor appointments and issues with my parents often come out of nowhere as well as the scheduled ones. So first up is an annual pass to the Biltmore House so I can go whenever an opportunity arises. The passes are on sale this month. I'm also thinking of taking a cooking class if I can get a last minute seat sometime.

I honestly don't care about the presents…..seriously……I am just looking forward to having happy time with my kids and grand babies. I love just celebrating the season and going to church and parades all the fun that is Christmas. My absolute favourite time is sitting around the tree on Christmas Eve just anticipating Christmas Day.

I thought I wanted the newer Silhouette Curio machine or the Mint, but sadly, I don't want either. I just wouldn't use them. There isn't anything else scrappy that is on my list right now.

danimakesgood, hugs to you! That is a crappy year. My hubs was laid off last year and started his own company this year. So I get that pain, but my heart breaks for you with the loss of your son. May your days only be better and blessings abound you and your family.

It's been hard for his sisters, understanding everything. Job loss hard enough during the rest of the year. During the holidays... ugghh.

Better lighting for my YouTube videos. Unless I get a bonus this year, though, that won't happen.
