My daughter and I are going again, just to visit the vendor faire and see the new stuff! Not interested in taking any classes or crops.
Anyone else gonna be there?

I wanted to but just don't have the funds at the moment. I hope you have fun though! Please report back and tell us how it went! I never been to one before.

Heading up Thursday and attending the vendor fair Fri and Sat, and the crop Sat night.
On Friday evening we are going to the scrapbook store, Pages in Time, in Lititz to crop and shop

My friend and I are driving down on Thursday - it's about a 4.5 hour drive for us. I'm taking three classes on Friday and one on Saturday morning. We'll hit a few favorite spots in the Amish country on Saturday afternoon before heading home.

OMG! I went to print up my convention registration today and I NEVER REGISTERED!! I had put things in my cart and never checked out! I have had such an awful year and this is just one more example of how my head is messed up.
So now I can buy less because I have to pay more at the door. I am bummed..

I'll be there all day Saturday, taking 3 classes (two Queen and company classes, those are my favorite), and shopping, although I really don't need a thing. But I'll find something. heehee.

Checking in after CKC Lancaster. Friday was a zoo. So many people shopping and buying. I was very happy for the vendors, because most booths had 10 minute waits to check out. People were over all pretty nice about being bumped, pushed and shoved. Saturday was a much smaller crowd. I was there all day Fri and Sat and stayed to crop Sat night. Crop was nice and much more low key than they used to be, room to crop. Vendors Sat night were .just a few trying to sell a little bit of stuff and it wasn't like they were giving it away. I guess that's because they wanted to pack up and get out of there and have other CKC's to sell at.
Escape Scrapping was doing some on site personalized paper and that was really great. I spent all my money by about noon on Sat. CKC staff was very nice and accomodating. Vendors kept thinking us for coming. I remember a CKC years ago in Valley Forge where we signed up for an expensive preview night and they "allowed us" to make cards that they then gave to the vendors to thank them for coming. Times have changed, lol!

I had fun, spent all my money and came home with a lot of loot! (Warning-paper is very heavy after walking around for an hour...) lol
We went Friday and yes, it was crowded, but everyone was so nice. I found lots of paper I was looking for, and a big surprise, one booth was selling October Afternoon paper for 50 cents a sheet! The more you bought the lower the price. I got 60 sheets for 10 bucks, can't beat that!

I enjoyed the convention. The projects for my four classes were cute and the instructors were good. I spent way less money at the vendor fair than I normally do, which I guess is a good thing!
The Lancaster venue is SO much better than Valley Forge, in my opinion. I love that there are quiet corners where you can escape the crowds and relax a bit between classes and shopping.

So glad the Lancaster one went well! Buffalo sucked major ass this year.

So glad the Lancaster one went well! Buffalo sucked major ass this year. Buffalo is a lot closer to me (I live in the Syracuse area), but the Lancaster show is so much better that it's worth the longer drive. The Buffalo class selection and vendor fair were pretty disappointing the last time I went and I hear that it's gotten worse every year

Anyone have any opinions on the Thursday Night Layout Workshop? I found it very disappointing. It was pretty much a $36 bag full of 4-5 year old stuff!

I didn't take that but I'd be disappointed as well - I think that classes should use current products. I'd be OK with papers from a previous year, but 4+ years old is ridiculous.
