I was going to get the popcorn one for Christmas. Then, I saw the one for New England and choose that one instead. I really like the collage puzzles.

We've never been a puzzle making family but I want to give it a try. What do you do with the puzzle once it's finished? Does your family put the same puzzle together multiple times? Do you take it apart & put it away for another time or is it a one time deal? TIA!! i kinda wondered about this, too. We broke it up this morning and started on a new puzzle - we're hooked now! I guess we'll keep it and maybe put it together again in a few years? Maybe the peas need to have a yearly puzzle exchange

The hard part of my 'addiction' is that they are so dang expensive! I am not one to want to re-do the same ones over and I know many that glue them together but that is just not for me. To sell them at a yard sale would only garner a tiny fraction of what I have paid for them. I am thinking about posting on my local FB Buy, Sell & Trade pages to see if there are others in my area who like the same type I like and perhaps we can trade. I considered selling them on eBay or the like, but due to the size and shape of the boxes, the postage is so expensive! I have been lucky at times and found some really good ones at local thrift stores and yard sales. It would just be really fun to find a local puzzle partner to trade with.

Love puzzles but my house is too small for a crowd for dinner and put a puzzle out so we usually play cards. Our latest obsession is Cards against Humanity (we have a load of 20-30 yr olds and no little ones). Always a great ice breaker for the new significant other or friend.

flanz , I love White Mountain. Ravensburger is another brand that I like. Thanks! I know Ravensburger's quality used to be excellent, good to hear you still like them. I used to like Springbok too, but have read a lot of reviews on Amazon this weekend about the steep decline in quality. Hadn't heard of White Mountain until now, so glad to know about it. I'm thinking of sending some puzzles to family we spent time with in Poland this summer. Two of our cousins farm small plots of land and have more leisure time in the winter. I can imagine their large families enjoying sitting around working on a puzzle.

We did the same candy bar puzzle. We had the puzzle on a table in the den. In the dining room all the kids made Christmas ornaments, they were simple ones from Hobby Lobby. In the family room the 20 somethings played games. We had a great day.

We had our 4th annual turkey toss using a frozen turkey breast covered in duct tape. Adults and kids divisions - 2 throws. Firefighter nephew wins adult category every year, kids love it. We always have a few negative nellies but don't let that stop us.
The turkey is put back in freezer to be cooked at a later time.

Ours was also a puzzle. A 1000 piece Christmas scene. Everyone played a part over three days. I came home from work on Friday to find my friend and my DH working on it together. I think I would have been less surprised to find them in bed together as I have never known my DH to even give a puzzle a second glance.

I bought two puzzles for Christmas, the colorful doughnuts and the Barcelona market. I saw that candy bar one too. We love puzzles! We got one last year that I thought was an old desk with shelves that had a bunch of old fashioned kitchen stuff. As we put the puzzle together it was full of little tiny people doing different things in all the nooks and crannies. It was fun to see it come to life. SunnySmile, do you remember the brand or name of the puzzle with the tiny people in the images? That sounds fun and interesting, and I haven't had any Google luck yet trying to find it. Thanks!
