Surprisingly enough I'm not craving anything today. In cases like these if I were home I'd have a hastily thrown together sandwich or poached eggs on toast for dinner.
What are your meal plans for today??

akathy, has it been your experience that the longer you are on TPN, the less hungry you get? It's really difficult to comprehend for those of us who haven't been thru what you are going thru. Since our Thanksgiving was yesterday, we are having turkey sandwiches tonight. I have A LOT of turkey left over; I'm not sure how many days I can take it.

Lots of leftovers here still. Ribs, sweet potatoes, creamed spinach, salad, and now chicken soup, too. The Thanksgiving leftovers are going in the trash after today. ETA I WANT TURKEY!!

No, usually the better I feel the hungrier I get. Of course I get a few off days like today but as a rule I feel extremely hungry.

Goulash. It's far from my favorite meal but DD is 33 weeks pregnant and feeling like she is DONE with people and this pregnancy and goulash is her favorite meal. So I'll indulge her.

More of the same around here. I think I am at the end though. Starting tomorrow, back to the regular routine that doesn't include turkey.

The remaining Thanksgiving leftovers hit the trash today. We are having sliders, with veggies and dip and maybe fries or tortilla chips with mexicali dip.

Homemade chicken noodle soup here. It's cold outside. We did not bring any leftovers home from Thanksgiving at my uncles which now has me wishing for a turkey sandwich.

I think we are making turkey chili. We haven't gotten that far yet.
Miss you, friend!

Sounds like what we're having... sweet potatoes, creamed spinach, (which are left overs) salad and grilled chicken. I'd much rather be having ribs though!

After spending as many hours as I did in the kitchen last week for Thanksgiving, then spending the last two days cooking the 3 turkeys dd got a great deal on, I am done. As I trudged off to bed last night I told my family that I would not be doing anything in the kitchen today. So far, other than making a pot of coffee for myself, that's all I have done. Sadly, all of the meat from yesterday will have to be packaged up and frozen tomorrow, but I just didn't want to spend today looking at or smelling turkey. I am all turkeyed out. For tonight's dinner, they can bake some potatoes and heat up a few can's of chili.

Filet on the grill, baked potatoes and asparagus. I'm tired of poultry!

supposed to be turkey pad thai with leftover turkey.
But the store was out of bean sprouts and I forgot the lime and rice noodles.

Breakfast for dinner is our usual Sunday night meal. No different tonight but it's at IHOP. No cooking for me.

We just returned home after visiting DS1 for Thanksgiving week. I stopped by Whole Foods on the way home and bought a turkey. Sooo, we're having turkey, cranberry salad, asparagus and rice. I plan to freeze slices and chopped meat for soup and leftovers during the month. It smells heavenly! DIL fixed a feast on Thursday, but I thought we'd like the smell and leftovers at our house too.

I want something that is the antithesis of a turkey dinner... maybe pizza.

I made turkey soup this morning and ate a turkey sandwich for lunch a couple of hours ago. I may opt for a slice of apple pie with vanilla ice cream on top for dinner. Because I am an adult and I can do that. Or I may have another turkey sandwich. Dh will probably have soup.

supposed to be turkey pad thai with leftover turkey. But the store was out of bean sprouts and I forgot the lime and rice noodles. There will be no faking pad thai without bean spouts and rice noodles! I never thought of making pad thai with turkey. I will have to try it. We had leftovers from the turkey dinner I made yesterday. My DH had the meal hot, and I did turkey sandwiches on King's Hawaiian rolls.

I made turkey soup yesterday, and the leftovers from that will be my work lunches for a couple of days this week. I'm switching gears tonight and making dal. I'll serve it over brown basmati rice, and I have fresh broccoli that I'll steam to go with it.

HA I can just sub the chicken for turkey.
