My neighbour walks her cat on a leash - and the cat actually walks! My cat collapses to the ground under the unbelievable weight of the harness so I don't think that's in our future... Now I'm wondering about a stroller... Just need to figure out how to explain the ear splitting meowls (meows + howls), that she'd let out...

My cat collapses to the ground under the unbelievable weight of the harness so I don't think that's in our future. Oh yes, I have a "I can't feel my legs" kitty every time I put a collar on. My cats are always indoor only and microchipped, so they don't wear collars routinely, so there's a lot of carry on and fake paralysis and inability to walk when I do put a collar on Angelique. I have a photo of her as a kitten using all 4 paws trying to get a collar off, I scrapbooked it with the title "not wearing that"

That's very cool. Do cats like being in them?

And she does the fast slink away from any outside access door as soon as a hand touches the doorknob so I've never been terribly worried she would try and sneak out... The fake paralysis makes me giggle... Your LO sounds cute

Lol A few weeks ago, I helped at an informational table our school had at a very large arts and crafts festival in our area. We were cracking up at the number of doggy strollers we saw I've never seen a cat in a stroller, but I'm sure our old (18 years) grumpy cat would probably do the gutteral moan/cry/howl that she does in the carrier. Last time we took her to the vet, she told us she didn't need to come in annually anymore... it wasn't worth the trauma to the poor old girl, lol!

This is great. I thought this thread was going to be about high priced face creams and die cut machines. Nope: cat prams.
I asked Ella if she wants one and she just slunk away.

I see this guy in my neighborhood in Japan quite often. He has nine cats in a stroller. He's quite a spectacle and lots of people stop to take photos. I saw the stroller parked outside a cafe once and he was inside. None of the cats moved. They all just sit still with their paws resting on the sides. I don't understand how they're trained to do it. My cat would just curl up in the bottom or jump out. Japanese cat guy

Now I don't feel so bad. I just ordered a cat bed with a warmer in it for the older cat. Haven't told hubby yet, but it was only #34 in the Amazon Cyber Monday sales and just had to get it for th ecat's Christmas present.

I've seen videos of cats nearly napping in a bowl/sink of water, and there's that cute cat that lets the snail crawl over him... Am I the only one that's noticed that cats from different cultures seem to feature in different types of memes? And now my cat's staring at me so I'm feeling self conscious about making a generalization about cats...

M~ it just looks like a baby stroller, but it has a zipped mesh all around so the victim can't escape. I'll be sure to post a pic with my cat in it when it arrives! PS that's so cute! I really want one and wouldn't care what the neighbors thought as I walked through the neighborhood, but I know our cat would be afraid and hate it. I'll have to be content with putting goofy hats on her.

Love the kitty strollers! I see lots of them in NYC. I have one of those front pack dog carriers that I use quite a bit. Like the kind people carry their babies in but it's made for a dog. My little guy loves going for walks with me, snug and able to look at everyone as I walk. I'm totally sure most people think I've lost my mind,, but I don't care. He's happy, I'm happy, and we're exercising.

Well I posted on another thread that I bought myself a doll. I am almost 60 years old and I am the crazy doll lady. I paid almost $200 for her, because she was a bargain compared to the doll artist's other work.
I bought myself a pair of pants on Black friday but didn't get back to click place order until after the free shipping expired so I had to have them sent to the store.

My SIL has a cat stroller!! I love it! I borrowed it once to take mine to the vet. I can't remember why I didn't use my own carrier, but man...I wanted a stroller after that. My latest carrier is on wheels but it's not the same.

Yep, they're total dicks about the harness. Years ago I had a cat who would wear the harness to go exploring in the park. He didn't walk next to me like a dog, but he'd creep along and sniff stuff. People got a kick out of that.

I've finally reached the stage of life where I no longer care about people judging me. I don't mind being the subject of someone's dinner time conversation when they got home.
I adopted a litter of 3 kittens from a rescue and getting them all to their vet appointment became progressively more difficult as they grew. I had 3 suitcase-like carriers for them and started stacking them on a luggage carrier to get them from the car to the vet's office.
People looked at me, but I decided to believe they were all thinking, "what a clever idea!" Instead of, "what a nut job!" As I came and went each time. I didn't know they made a cat stroller at that point, or I might have purchased one.
Although my male kitty went absolutely ballistic for the first year when contained in anything. He would growl, hiss, spit, and succeeded in ripping the fabric and screen material, which was really heavy duty stuff, during that time. I think my cats had been feral at birth because all three had some odd behavior. Pulling the male out of the carrier always made the various vets uncomfortable because of his growling and tearing at the carrier. And he continued to protest like that when I picked him up, but he never once bit or scratched either the vet or me. He is now 8 years old and still does it, but not quite as fiercly as when he was younger. I probably would have had to put the girls together in the stroller and carry grumpy over my shoulder in his carrying case.
I hope you post a picture from your first walk!
I loved the multiple cats in the stroller in Hiroshima! I didn't imagine it to be an open child stroller when I first read it. That is awesome! Those cats really trust that man.

Becky is having a 30% off cyber Monday sale. I bought the Elder core kit. I'm not LDS nor an elder! ;-) I've been coveting that kit for quite a while. The colors are so "men's dress shirt"!

Perfect! I wish I'd thought of this idea, or seen it sooner. My dog Misha is a weiner/beagle mix and we have had no luck with walks on the leash or harness. Those tiny little legs just can't keep up and she just doesn't enjoy our attempted walks. Therefore she only goes around the block with me then I drop her back off at home and continue on. I'd feel better if she was with me though. Come spring, I will invest in a stroller for her. Thanks for planting the idea in my mind.
