I've officially crossed into Crazy Cat Lady territory and I don't care who knows it, apparently, because I just ordered myself A CAT STROLLER!!! LOLOL I'm going to laugh all the way down the bike path with my cat in a stroller. I've wanted a cat stroller for quite a while but wasn't willing to pay $$$ for something they might hate. Ever since my dog died I've been walking alone but I sure miss the companionship. Is a cat a good walking companion? No, but if you can stuff them in a stroller, who cares? Found one tonight on Amazon Prime for $34...even if they hate it, I can handle the loss (plus, I'd just use it for MIL'S tiny dog for really long walks, so it's all good). . What fun/silly/ridiculous thing have you bought yourself lately? 12/6 couple pics added! Oreo, the tuxedo kitty, seemed to like it just fine. The only time he meowed was when I stopped moving. He had a fine time sniffing the air and looking about. We only went about 4-5 blocks but it was fun. No one really noticed him. The striped one is my special-needs Old Man Cat, the one I had in mind when I bought it, but it's too cold for him to go far because he has pretty much no body fat and won't wear clothes or stay under the blanket. He seemed to enjoy his ride up and down the driveway, but he was chilled. The fat indoor/outdoor kitty Jack also went for a ride just down the block and back, he meowed a little but not much. So, so far it's a win I think! No real complaints from any of the three, they all just looked around and sniffed the air a lot.

Well, I think I had an answer to your question until I read YOUR answer. Now, I can't remember... and I'm busy with the mental picture of you with a cat stroller. Thanks for making me smile tonight!

M~ it just looks like a baby stroller, but it has a zipped mesh all around so the victim can't escape. I'll be sure to post a pic with my cat in it when it arrives! PS that's so cute!

LOL - one step ahead of you!
Here's Miss Millie in ours, Angelique is there but she was too embarrassed to sit up and show her face, she's the grey shadow in the bottom left scrunched down hiding. As you can see Millie is protesting. They both hated it, but I live very close to the vet (just 2 blocks, 10 min walk) and as I don't have a car, it made sense to get one especially when I wanted to take both of them. Got to love the name "classy tails"
I've had mine for about 3 years.
You'll have to post a photo too, so I'm not left looking like the only crazy evil queen on here (although have you been watching OUAT? Regina has become decidedly non evil and she doesn't get to wear those great evil queen costumes any more).

Do you think 'after' photos might be called for? Haha there are three cats in this house and one of them is bound to love it, right? They'll go in all right...I've had plenty of experience stuffing them into carriers for vet trips, moving, etc. Mostly I wanted to get my old man cat out into the fresh air in a way he might enjoy. He loves to sniff the air and let the wind ruffle his fur through the safety of the screened windows, so I think he might enjoy this if the movement doesn't bother him. There will definitely be pictures!

That's awesome. Can you cover it up and, as people lean over say, SHHHHH, the baby's sleeping? and then... insert pissed of meow.

Our vet just about wet himself laughing when I turned up the first time, I said to him "and you aren't allowed to make fun of me when I leave" and he replied "it's way too late for that!"
The upside of a cat stroller is you get very fit, both of mine screamed so much that everyone stops to look and then they all want to stop and talk about the craziness that is two cats in a pram. So I end up walking really fast to avoid that and get to the vet out of breath and in a lather of sweat. Let me tell you, cats in a stroller is NOT a relaxing stroll. Ours is strictly for vet visits, any other 'fun' outings would be far too traumatic for me.
ETA: I always call it the "cat carrier on wheels", sounds less crazy that way

I'm single with no kids. But I have 2 dogs and 2 cats. Do you think they make a quad pet stroller?? I'll be the talk of the neighborhood with that bad boy!! My goal is to eventually be the pet equivalent of The Duggars. Lmao.

You have given me an idea for our new kitten!! We joked about taking her on walks with us. She has a harness and a leash (didn't want to loose her when she is roaming about the house. She doesn't mind having it on, but won't follow when pulled). I have a perfectly good stroller. What if I put her in the stoller and attach her with the leash.
I wanted to order her a stroller, but I got the stink eye from DH.

I was doing some shopping on Small Business Saturday and spotted two Bulldogs one being pushed in a very expensive (Thule) stroller. I got allll judgy and thought damn let the dogs walk....until I got a bit closer...This dog could barely breathe it was so excited. Huge smile and clearly just too chunky to complete a whole walk without assistance. Warmed my heart. So rock on cat lady.

I was running the other day and saw a woman with a cat in a stroller. I'll admit I laughed and find it a little kooky, but...LET YOUR FREAK FLAG FLY! You'll bring joy to a silly runner.

I wonder if our neighbors know this exists. They take their cats outside on leashes and let them roam around the yard. I thought that looked crazy the first time I saw it.

I wanted to order her a stroller, but I got the stink eye from DH. I'd be careful, she might jump out unexpectedly and get tangled or hung up. That's why I went with a mesh covered stroller. But if you're careful and go slowly at first, she might get used to it and stay put. Cats can't really be trusted so use caution!

I got allll judgy and thought damn let the dogs walk....until I got a bit closer...This dog could barely breathe it was so excited. Yes, there can be all sorts of good reasons. My friend's daughter has a German Shepherd and even though he came from a registered breeder and both his parents were negative for hip dysplasia - he still has it. He's on a management plan in the hope to avoid surgery and he isn't allowed to walk more than a certain distance every day. She lives near a lake that is 7 miles around and she walks it herself most days but currently can't take the dog because he's not allowed to walk that far, she's going to get a stroller so he can walk some of the way and then she can push him the rest. At least that way he gets to come on the walk with her, rather than miss out totally. So even a young (he's only 3yo) healthy looking dog can have problems that aren't obvious.

Yeah, that's what I'm afraid of. I'm going to try teaching her to walk on the leash first. Other cats I've had just fell on the ground and wouldn't move when I tried the harness, but she at least walks around with it on.

On one of our regular walks, there is a couple that have a cat in a stroller. And LOTS of doggie strollers. Whatever works.

LOL!! that truly is crazy cat lady! Ok, seriously, like don't the cats try to rip the mesh to get out? Ours would totally have the mesh ripped to shreds and be making tail down the road.

Yes, that did worry me, especially the first time, I did think that if one of them really freaked out they could potentially rip through the mesh. However nothing like that has been attempted. The one I have also has two lead clips on the inside, attached to the floor, so they are both in a harness, with a lead attached and the end of the lead is clipped into the stroller clips. Therefore if they do freak out and rip the mesh, I still have the second layer of protection of a harness and lead attached to the stroller. But apart from meowing at the top of their lungs, neither of mine has attempted to claw it. When Millie got her cancer and we were going to the vet a lot, I kept it in the lounge and she used to sleep in it.

I've had mine for about 3 years.
What a gorgeous kitty! This past spring when we were looking at houses, we were in one neighborhood and a couple was walking their dog. Then we saw a cat walking down the street behind them. Turns out, the couple that had the dog on a leash was also walking the cat--not on a leash. The cat was following them. It was pretty impressive and funny. I don't think I've ever seen anyone walking a cat prior to that!
