Hi all!
My husband just checked the costco website at work this morning, and they have a big bundle for $199...he called me and told me to go for it! Their return policy cant be beat either, in case I change my mind about it, or something is wrong. Just though I'd share in case anyone is looking for a cyber Monday deal!

My mom mentioned this recently. She loves to do cards, crafts and anything with fabric. I don't have one of these machines so I don't know much about it. I did watch the video on the link. Is this one of the things that once you buy it there are a lot of other things to purchase? I can see the vinyl would need to be replaced if you use it but what about blades or software? TIA

Thanx for the info! I've been wanting one for years, so I bit the bullet and bought it. Merry Christmas to me! Sorry, 2peafaithful, I'm a Silhouette virgin, so I'm afraid I won't be much help. I would assume the blades need to be replaced at some point, since there's no way they won't dull over time. I have no idea how often or how much they cost. I'm pretty sure Amazon has them, but that's the extent of my knowledge on the subject. Have no idea about the software. Guess I know how I'll be spending my Christmas vacation!

Blades will dull -- the big box craft stores have then for about $12.00 -- sometimes mats need to be replaced (some people try to re-sticky them). This is a good bundle at a very good price!

TIA My blades last a very long time. I keep one for vinyl and one for paper. My mats last forever too. I do re-sticky with Krylon Easy Tack. I did trash my first one pretty bad because I wasn't smart enough to read the instructions and set the machine right before cutting... Software is free and can be downloaded before even getting the machine. You can upgrade it for $25 if you want. You can buy files to cut, but there are tons of freebies (especially on the FB groups) There is a free file every week from Silhouette (free one every day right now). You can use any font - and most of those are free.

I *re-sticky* my Cricut mats with Dawn and a nylon scrubbie.

Thanks for the info! It sounds like something that she would love and wouldn't have huge expensive add on's. She is pretty tech savvy and has a commercial die cut machine but it does larger things and I think she would like the addition of this after hearing her talk about it.
