Do you give gifts to people like pet groomers etc at Christmas? Or an extra tip?

We have the same pet groomer, and yes I bump the percentage up, basically giving $20 instead of $10.
I don't have one, but my mom gifts her cleaning lady an extra $50, and also her manicurist a gift too.

I double the tip for my regular manicurist and hairdresser.

I give a small gift card to the newspaper carrier, the postal carrier and then I tip my hairdresser 20% - I normally tip only 15% because the service is so expensive that 15% is still a lot.

i wish would start tipping their mechanics! My Hondas have all been so reliable <wood, knocking on it> they never needs any work except for the scheduled maintenance.

I give my maids $$, hair dresser gets a personal gift because she owns her salon and I always give her a 20% tip above and beyond the service, my chiropractor I know her really well to so I made her a quilt. The massage therapist I know really well but she needs the $ so I give it to her.
I think when in doubt cash or gift card is always a nice gesture unless you actually know the person and can do something more personal.

Most people I just tip heavier but my hair stylist puts in long hours over the holidays so I tip her extra but will stop and get her a nice lunch from Panera or place like that as well. I've had her for 25+ years so I always bring her baked goods to take home to her family too.

I give my hair stylist and dog groomer the price of a cut as a tip. The cleaning lady gets one week of extra pay.

Our housekeeping lady gets a one visit tip or the day off with pay depending on what day it falls on. This year, Christmas Day is on our regular cleaning day, so I will just pay her not to work.
I get my haircut so rarely that I tip very generously at every visit (plus my hairdresser just doesn't charge enough), so nothing extra at Christmas.
The only other person I try to "tip" is the crossing guard at our HS. He is out their rain/shine/sleet or snow making sure traffic patterns work. He more than deserves it!

I'm going to tip our mailman this year he always has been excellent and always ensures my packages are safe and hidden on our porch. I'll probably do $50 cash in envelope and hand it to him--want to get him not a sub!
Our hairdresser is a good friend, does both me and hubby, she'll likely get $100 since most of my services are over $100 and my hubby $50 monthly --I had read somewhere (two peas I think!) tipping your hairdresser should be equal to the cost of normal or average services.
We used to have the coffee shop next to our bank walk in and take drink orders for the bank staff, we'd go to the coffee shop and pay for a nicely sized gift card and the coffee staff would use that to pay for the drinks and the rest would end up as their tip for the service. The coffee shop moved so I'm going to have to either hit Starbucks for gift certificate's for them or bring them some other treat!
I make platters of seasonal brownies (gingerbread, peppermint, salted caramel) and take those to our local craft store on their employee Christmas party, as the entire staff know me/us very well and we go in almost daily!
Don't get the paper delivered, so I'm not sure if anyone else to tip!
Since we get a lot of packages throughout the week, I might leave a nice basket of chocolates and some beverages on the porch with a sign for the delivery persons to help themselves (UPS, FedEx)

We tip Tucker's dog walker with a prepaid Visa card equal to what we pay weekly for the service.

Mail carriers are prohibited from accepting cash. GC under $20 are acceptable as are food gifts.

I give extra/larger tip to dog groomer and hairstylist the last appointment before the holiday. And send a card.
I give double/triple tip to baristas/waitstaff working on a holiday.
Our mailman is rarely the same person throughout the year. Our regular UPS driver is usually not the our same driver in the winter when they start having holiday deliveries. We get many different drivers.
We don't have any other service people that I can think of. No gardener, no housecleaner, no nail person.

I usually tip my paper carrier and my mailman also give my hairdresser a Sonic or McD's card in addition to her usual 30% tip.

Am putting $120 in an envelope for my groomer tonight. She's awesome. That's the cost of two visits (one for each dog) and I give her that each year. I give my hairdresser $65 (cost of one haircut) and my mail lady $30. She's great, too. I can't afford any more service people
