Maybe I just haven't paid close enough attention before, but in the latest People with Adele on the cover, the main article about Adele was simply a collection of quotes from OTHER articles and appearances. Unlike the Rolling Stone article in October which was a result of an actual interview with Adele. I'm a little obsessed with Adele right now so I'm reading/watching all the latest things being put out there.

People magazine has seriously sucked for years now. It is just a celebrity rag with no substance. It used to have articles about everyday people doing things as well as interesting stories about more famous people.
All they do is regurgitate whatever the latest celebrity story is on twitter.
Truly, maybe it's because all those feel good stories are on everyone's facebook feed and google news.

It really has gotten bad. I used to look forward to reading it while my hair color was cooking, but it's turned to crap. Now I read one of the cooking magazines.

ITA with the other posters the magazine is becoming more tabloidish then the real magazine it used to be.

I think a lot of "news outlets" are going this route. The other day, I saw a Facebook post from my local CBS news channel. They were talking about how Lauren Scruggs (the model/blogger who lost her eye and arm from an airplane propeller). I don't remember exactly what it was about - i think mainly how she is now happily married, her website, blah blah blah. I read the article and EVERYTHING in the article was taken from her social media posts. It was so weird.

That bugs me to death. Some celebrity got married a few weeks ago and the cover said "All the details from xxxx's wedding!" and it was nothing more than what had been on TMZ, which was basically there was a wedding at XXX location, and here is an overhead grainy photo taken from a helicopter.

They were interesting, and fun when someone from your area featured! People used to be one of my guilty beach or plane reads. Now I don't bother, when I see them in waiting rooms they're full of tv reality celebs.

Off topic Murphy , but as an Adele nut, have you seen the Adele impersonator audition that she secretly took part in? It's hilarious. Adele and Graham Norton

I was really touched by the one who immediately started sobbing when she realized it was truly Adele on stage. That's exactly what my reaction would be.

I killed my subscription last year after almost 10 years. I haven't been tempted to buy even once. The reason I subscribed was because I would end up paying full retail when I bought groceries every week. I don't miss it at all.

I bought the People magazine for the week that Princess Charlotte was born and I thought the same thing.

I occasionally read it because it's in my Next Issue/Texture app. I read it to pass the time more often than not. I don't think I'll bother again.

I can't stand People. I got a year long free subscription because I had some airline miles expiring. I was soooo excited when that year ended and I got the "Last Copy! Renew Now" notice on one of my Peoples. 2 months later I'm still receiving it every week! Ugh! I'm a puzzle geek and enjoy the crossword... that's about it.

I live in Japan, but I was in Hawaii last week and bought the Adele People magazine, specifically to read about her. I was so disappointed to find it was just a collection of articles rather than an exclusive interview. I could have found the same info with a quick google search:(
