OMG - DS is wanting new basketball shoes. They don't come cheap.
One of his buddies showed him the Nike site where you can customize your own shoes.
Now, we had planned to give all three kids money for Christmas - a bit more than the shoes cost. So he's asked if we can order the shoes instead, as they take 3-5 weeks to customize.
So he sits down, and is going through all the options and calls us over to see them when he's done.
Good Lord - that boy had chosen a different colour/pattern for every single part that was customizable!
We reeled him in, and now the shoes don't quite explode your eyes when you look at them.
I told DH we needed to tell him just because it CAN be set to something, doesn't mean it HAS to be! LOL
On the plus side, I can get to the site through ebates, AND they qualify for free shipping!
So a good deal in the end for sure, and he's super happy with his design.
(so are we now that we won't be cross-eyed while watching him play
