The way they break up my charges into a mess of smaller ones on my debit account. Amazon & Target are the ones that I notice personally that do this every year. I made 2 orders from Target, yet I have 5 hits to my debit account, and when you add them all up, they're 8 bucks less than they should be. So I don't know if a stray 8.00 hit is still coming or what. I'm one of those crazy people that still balances their check book so this kind of thing drive me wacky. Oh, and the local DVD rental machines drive me nuts, too, but that's not Christmas related. The amount they charge you when you get the DVD is different from the charge after you return it. So they may charge $1.29 or a $1.80 when you take it home. But after you return it , the charge changes to $1.28 or $1.79. ugh! Thank goodness for wite-out. ETA: 2 hours past my vent, the 8.00 charge just hit my account!

I told DH he can't use his debit card for DVD rental anymore! As for Target, I check my bank account daily, and just put the charges in as they come. I had one order that went through, then the next morning they canceled part of it, grrrrr!

That drives me nuts with amazon too. I notice it happens the most when you order from multiple vendors or if anything is an pre-order.

Yeah, the multiple charges drive me insane. We've had credit card numbers stolen before, and so DH gets a text update every time a charge goes through now. It makes it hard to track, first of all, but it also makes DH think I just sit and shop for hours every day (at least at this time of year). Also, when he emails or texts or just asks if some $17.43 charge from some weird place is legit, I often don't know! (Thinking of the odd Amazon vendors and things like that - obviously I know when it says $17.43 at Target.)

I have the same issue with Amazon. They split the orders when they ship so each one is a separate charge then I also have my month subscribe and save box on the way where each item is a separate order. There's going to be a boatload of amazon transactions this month.

Now some companies split up my deliveries, such as Kohls & Zales, but only charged me once. I can understand with Amazon if it's different vendors, but I don't get Target. Typically I just shop in the store so I can get my cartwheel deals, but every year there are a few items online that the store doesn't have, and that's what happened this year, too.

I concur. Vehemently. And keeping track of all the different shipments is a pain too. I made about 6 online orders yet have approximately 20 different packages coming.

I received all of my actual gift items from Kohls, yet the gift cards I ordered at the same time have yet to arrive. I would have thought they would have shown up first. So now I keep reminding myself to keep an eye out for them. As for the checking account....I've decided to skip actually balancing it out until the packages all arrive. Save myself some hassle.

I think I'll make a mental note to just pencil in estimates this time of year from now on. My $8.00 and change charge just came through from target, but somehow they wound up charging me 57 cents more than they told me it would be when I placed my order.

i hate the collection of boxes in my entry way way needing to be unpacked. Thanks to great shipping policies I've had lots arrive and been too busy to get to them. Not exactly a problem but it's going to generate a lot of empty boxes too.

I just spent hours trying to sort our 8 charges from Amazon on my credit card! All for two orders! They need to be told to "keep it simple, stupid!"

Not exactly a problem but it's going to generate a lot of empty boxes too. I have 6 empty cardboard boxes in my bedroom (of all places!) right now. I'm either go to put them out for recycling or flatten them and stick them in a closet in case I wind up needing one before the holiday is over. As an aside, I loathe touching used cardboard boxes. It's like you barely touch one and your hands are filthy dirty and every speck of moisture in them is immediately wicked away. (I have issues, don't I? )

Lol melanell nope! Talk about issues - I hate to destroy the perfectly good box. My DH loves to flatten them for recycling though. My neighbor's do a lot of cyber shopping or work from home so we can't give the boxes away- it seems so wasteful.
