I'll ask over on the scrapping board as well, but I wanted to get as many eyes on my question as possible.... Remember the Versamarkers we used on paper that would essentially just *stain* the paper a darker color? Is there something similar for fabric? This summer we made an epic road trip out to Montana. I'm making commemorative sweatshirts for my family for Christmas. For part of it, I would like to make what would essentially be a watermark on the fabric. Is there any product that is designed to do that? I thought about just using some oil but #1 I'm pretty sure that's a fire hazard and #2 I think it would bleed too much through the fibers. Any ideas?

I'm not aware of anything like that, not that I know everything about the world of fabric. What if you did a solid sweatshirt (such as red) and used fabric markers that were just a hair darker (like deep red)? (I figure if nothing else, this'll BTT your question!)

Thanks for the BTT, RosieKat! I may have to go to either paint or markers. I was just hoping there was something *easy!*
Oh well....if the Peas don't know...it probably doesn't exist! I'll check in with the evening crowd later today, too.

I've gotten a watermark effect by stamping with same color ink as the shirt color. Obviously, it's limited by colors of ink and fabric though Hope to learn a better option here.
