Hurray!!!!!! You Did it!!!!! Congratulations!!!!!
I have a friend that is 60 and she is finishing her last year of college. to get her associates in early child education. She finally got a job as a teacher at where she has been working as a teachers assistant for years (not sure but it is well over 10 years). She has been going to school like you as a part time student but she had a full time job. there are times she really struggles with working and home work and school.
My daughter is doing the same program my friend is. Daughter has been going to college since Sept 2011. She is hopefully done at the end of spring term. But that is what we were told last year too and that didn't happen.
I know your life will get easier now that you don't have to do home work and you can work full time and not worry as much.

and man lemme tell you it feels good.. What I have completed is Associate of Applied Science Office Applications Asst-AAS and I also have a Medical Office Clerk certificate.. I started out doing the certificate, decided to do the Associates, then took a year off because I needed a paycheck more than I needed homework, then I came to the thought that I could juggle both if I did part time, so I went back..all that took nearly 5 years(the associates *should* have been a 2yr, and the certificate a *1* year in theory anyway..doing a couple classes at a time stretched it out but I was afraid of taking on too much(I did have 3 classes one or 2 semesters) but I don't care that it took me longer, I would be the same age today had I NOT done it.. important part is that I DID it.. If I can do it as a single mom, working a part time job, with no help from anyone for anything and with fibro and eaten up with arthritis and old(I am 42) then that's just proof that ANYONE can do it if they just stick it out.I have continuously been in classes with kids that could have been MY kids, heck even with kids that my older 2 went to school with. Its not so bad being the oldest in the class either(however lots of times i wasn't the oldest), a lot of the younger ones know you are a source of information and assistance lol.. I have had many thoughts of quitting, many times where I struggled with schoolwork so bad that I sat here in tears, not always just because of the work, but just overwhelmed and exhausted in general. I currently have a 3.6 overall but that's not counting the actual current semester as its not technically over yet.. but I don't expect that gpa will change much once these 2 classes are factored in so anyway if any of you clicked on the *whats for dinner* thread today, this is why I am NOT cooking tonight LOL Congratulations! You've done a fantastic job. Plus, I wanted to thank you for sharing your accomplishment. I'm on my second full-time semester. With some new family issues, I am feeling so overwhelmed. Trying so hard to stay positive and assure myself I can do this. I have Fibro, too. Before the meds, I was useless. So, this college thing amazes me every day. This semester I have one class that has been a bitch. The other 3 classes are amazing and I love the subjects/teachers--wonderful, inspiring women. Anyway, with 3 papers due early next week and 4 finals coming up, I want to run for the hills. But, you've given me a little hope and inspiration. It was sorely needed right now. Thank you!

I have Fibro, too. Before the meds, I was useless I wish I could take some meds.. I'm on a blood thinner because I have a mechanical valve in my heart, so can't take anything that is even mentioned. Tylenol is all I have, and it doesn't do anything, oh and I have a muscle relaxer too(baclofen?) but im not so sure it does anything either.

That is awesome! I admire your tenacity and will to succeed! I went back to school as an adult - but not a single mom - and I remember how hard it was. Whatcha gonna do with all your free time???
