Do you still use brads?
I haven't scrapped in the traditional way in a couple of years. I have mainly been doing PL-style, flat with not a lot of bumpy embellishments. I haven't reached into my tins of brads in years. Do I keep them or purge them? Are brads still easy to find in a store if I ever wanted them again? Trying to do the "if you haven't used it in a year" philosophy here to clean up my room.

I purged mine. If I have the need for a "bump", I can use an enamel dot.

I do sometimes, though I usually bend the prongs off and attach them with a glue dot. I always seem to poke the hole in the wrong place when I use them the "real" way.

I still love to use brads to add a shiny bit of texture along with enamel dots and other embellishments. I have so many, but still buy them to go with paper collections. My scrapbook style isn't very trendy.

thanks ladies! I decided to only keep certain colors - black, white, and metallic (gold, silver, bronze). I can use those in mixed media projects, I think. LOL!

I still use them occasionally for cards or 3D projects but not on layouts or in PL pages any more.

I still use the traditional brads- Gold, Silver, White, & Black. I love to use fasteners. I buy brads that I know I will use like hearts, pretty jeweled brads, fabric, etc... I have to use them and they have to be my style. I don't buy brads because of trend any more. I did that and a few years later did a huge purge. Brads only stay in my brad box if they are inspiring.

I do a lot of my Journaling and titles on vellum and use them to attach it to the page. I haven't been able to find a better way to do that.

I've always liked brads, but have a hard time remembering to use any embellishment!

I still use them. I had a pack of Christmas brads that I used in the card exchange. I made wreaths on the card using a pine branch punch and used the brad in place of a bow on the top of the wreath. They turned out pretty. of course, I didn't take pictures of any of the cards I made and they were all different.

I use more of the large brads with a design on them, than the tiny solid color ones.
I use them often enough to keep them, plus they don't take up much room.

Yes, but mostly round or square ones. The exception being some snowflake shaped ones that I love.

I've kept them, though I don't use them on layouts.
They have been very hand for my kids' school projects.
To hold report papers together.
To make paper puppet elbow/knee/hand/foot joints movable.
To use decoratively.
But maybe you shouldn't listen to me - I still have my eyelets too.

I still use them once in a while and I like some of the decorative ones from MME. I don't always have the right color enamel dot so I'll dig into my brad stash.
Now eyelets...they are just sitting there collecting dust. I could get rid of them but they are mixed with the brads and not really worth sorting through.

I just took mine out to start using again. I haven't used them for years. Now that they're on my desk (as of last week) I've used them twice already!

I just used a bunch of small ones that were in the shape of bells (like the Polar Express bells) for making Christmas tags.

I still use mine on occasion and have quite a few pulled out for a travel album I've been working on. I have been looking for more recently but have struggled to find designs that I love and will actually use.

I use them interchangeably with enamel dots, pearls, and rhinestones. Some are even kept with the enamel dot/rhinestone/pearls.
