I'm sorry to see this. I started shopping at WS very early on in our marriage too. I've always trusted them, and can only think of one (cheap) knife that I did not like.

I had no idea he was still alive. Love Williams-Sonoma. Last year my sister and I visited the new W-S store in the town of Sonoma. It is located in the original W-S store building. They bought the building back, decades after selling it and moving on to bigger and better things. I was charmed.

I had the pleasure of meeting him many times when I worked at the flagship store in San Francisco in the late 1990s - he visited stores often even after his retirement. He created a marvelous company that has without a doubt enriched my life and many others. Well done, Chuck.

I adore his stores. He did create something wonderful. There is no replacement for quality tools no matter what your endeavor.
I really do believe that my children will be debating over what to do with my W-S stainless steel measuring cups and fabulous shaped cake pans after I die (as a very, very old lady.)

I love those stores. Unfortunately, they are closing the only one in my town. I will miss it.

I love Williams-Sonoma products. I'd never have a paycheck if I worked there. LOL
