I am looking for a Bluetooth shower speaker for my teens. It would be nice if I could get one that pairs with more than one device. Do do any of the peas own a device like this? ETA: I should have asked for more information! If you DO own one, can you tell me the brand or point me to WHERE I might buy it? Thanks!

I got one for DD from Groupon for Christmas just last week...It's called Aqua something LOL. (I don't even have a smartphone). DD#2 got another one but she hasn't actually used it in the shower, just in a dorm room. They both have iPhones...don't know what else they can sync too....But both DDs like them!

We have one but we don't use it for the shower - we use it when we have the pool set up. LOL It suctions to the top rail of the pool. It's a really cheap one and only allows one device to be connected to it at a time.

Not in the shower, but we have a Sonos system and have speakers in our bathrooms. We have the app on our phones, tablets and laptops -including "i" devices, droid, and Windows.

My DD got one for Christmas a few years ago and uses it every time she has a shower. It is possible to pair it with more than one device but she says it is quite fiddly to change.

That would be a fun stocking stuffer. Might have to look into that.

I had one, DH took it with him when he moved, I liked it except our phones would compete with each other to connect, so I'd have it on listening to the station my phone was on and if DH's phone came within range it would switch over to his. I hated that. I have another one that isn't waterproof that works better, but DS borrowed it and now I don't know where the USB plug is so I can't charge it.

No I don't really see ds needing to have music for a 10-15 minute shower. Sometimes being in peace and quiet with your own thoughts is good, too.

Thank you for your permission. Since I specifically referenced my own child, it was clear that I was expressing my own opinion. I don't give a rat's ass what anyone else does in their shower. The question asked was "do you own a Bluetooth speaker" I responded to that question along with my reasoning.

Stupid question! What does it do? I have no idea what Bluetooth is. Very technology challenged! But if it is cool, then I may get one for my teen girls. Anything to get them to take a shower is worth every penny!

If it's only a smallish bathroom, then I wouldn't bother with trying to get a shower/waterproof version. I listen to audiobooks in the bathroom with my phone paired to a Bluetooth speaker and I just have it sitting in the cupboard outside the shower and even with the water running and the overhead fan on I can still hear it perfectly well. I'd recommend just getting a decent Bluetooth speaker (a lot of them are "splash proof') and get them to demonstrate it in the store so you can see how loud it goes. If just you get a small cheapie one, then it probably won't be loud enough. I got the Sony brand and paid about $120 for it. For a decent one, you probably want to pay around $100 or a bit more. Check battery life too - mine lasts about 10hrs between recharges.

Thanks Patter, thars currently at Sam's and I've wondered if it was Bose quality! Ours doesn't have al the cute colors though. Edited with correction after my quick Sams trip!!!! Sam's does not have this Bose speaker. They have another Bose bluetooth mini, the little box kind for $159, bought it. In our store the one pictured above is being used in an adjacent display but isn't for sale.

Interesting that the one at Sam's was $159. I wonder how it differs from mine (which was $119). I am sure you will love it anonrefugee.

I think it's this one Patter , not as cute, doesn't hang, more of a table top item. I went in thinking I was buying for my son. Came out with one for DH.
