I can't believe it! I FOUND MY MISSING WACOM STYLUS! I've been looking for that thing since we moved here 3.5 years ago and was beginning to think I'd never find it. It was in a box of miscellaneous junk in the back of an under the stairs closet in my studio. I'm sure I had looked in that box at least 3-4 times before it got pushed to the back wall. I was moving some stuff around in there today to better hide some presents I need to wrap, and thought I'd look in those random boxes one.more.time. And there it was! I'm right in the middle of a vector graphics class I'm taking, so the timing for finding it is is pretty awesome.

To hijack your thread (sorry!), can you use a tablet like this with the Silhouette software? I'm wondering if I would have more luck with it when it comes to erasing / drawing not straight lines than I do with my mouse.

That is AWESOME! JustTricia, I wouldn't see why not as it's really a mouse. But I'll try testing it out later.

If so, then I would think it would work. My tablet plugs into a USB port just like a mouse. I'm taking a class using mostly CorelDraw which is basically the same kind of thing (vector design creation and editing), and that's why I was hoping to find my missing stylus. I'm taking some of my cutting files that I've designed previously, bringing them into Corel to clean them up, add color and details and eventually convert them into clip art sets. I had a little time today to play around with it and I think it's going to be a LOT easier to use the freehand tool with a stylus and the tablet compared to using a mouse. I also want to experiment with editing photos using it too but there's no time for that right now with everything else I've got going on.

I just tried it out. I did prefer it for erasing as well.
