DH's Christmas present was due to be delivered by Fed Ex today. It requires a signature. He absolutely cannot be the one to sign for it- one look at the return address of the package and he will know exactly what his gift is.
I had NO unusual plans today after work. I get home with DS #1- no package, no note. I leave to pick up DS from school and am home less than 30 minutes later... and OF COURSE I missed the delivery. Of course I did. OF COURSE I DID! Grrrrrrrr.
So then I go to the Fed Ex website to try and make alternate plans for delivery. I can ask them to hold the package and I'll pick it up at Fed Ex tomorrow after a doctor appt in the afternoon, or maybe I can request that it be delivered in the evening after my appt. According to the website, I should be able to do both of those things. So I have been trying all night to create an account and see what my options are, and every time I try to log on I get an error message. "System unavailable. Try again later." It's been HOURS.
So now what do I do? Leave my signature on the tag on my door and hope nobody steals the $500 gadget off my front porch until I get back from my dr appt?? Or hope that DH doesn't beat me home from work and see the dang thing on the porch?
I didn't even want to order the thing online anyway. But when I went to the store this past weekend, this was the only way to get the thing AND have activation after Christmas.
