Is it possible for the average user to alter a design in the product's software? I'm putting together some cutting files and I'm having trouble deciding whether I should leave some detail lines in a flower or not. I like it both ways. Is it practical to just leave the lines there and suggest that people take them out if they want? Is that something the average user would be able to figure out?

I'm only a beginning user -- I "think" I'd be able to do it -- if it was just a matter of "erase", or "ungroup" and delete. (I say that as "book" learning, not practical experience because I haven't tried to alter a design - just resize it) But, if you like it both ways, can you just do it as separate files so the user could have both?

Yeah, that might be the way to go. Thanks!

I alter designs all the time with the Silhouette. Not sure if I would be considered an "average" user, or advanced, though.
Depending on how intricate the design is, it can take a bit of time.

I also alter designs in the Cricut software - it's generally not too hard.

Couldn't you either group them or make a compound path? I use those commands a lot when I'm working a design.
