So what are your plans for PL 2016?
I've had problems the past couple of years with fizzling out around August. I still love the project and want to continue, but I need ways to get me over that summertime hump.
One of my problems is lack of photos. I know -weird, huh? There are some weeks when I just don't take a lot of pictures. I've thought of doing monthly, but that seems overwhelming to do at once.
I am switching to the 9x12 format. I ordered my album & protectors from Scrapbook.com so I won't have to worry about poor customer service as much. The album has 3 rings, so all of my other page protectors will fit in if I cut them down.
What is everyone else planning on doing?

Finishing 2015! I've always been up to date until this year. I think I left off in June.

I scrap in the Project Life style, but I don't do the daily Project Life, if that makes sense. When I have pictures to scrap, they go in the pockets. I add whatever project life cards fit the picture. I am debating about going digital for 2016. I have a couple more weeks to decide.

I'll be spending part of my Christmas holidays finishing up 2015 but I do have plans to continue with 2016. I do my PL weekly but keep it simple. My family loves it and really I do a month at a time. Thank goodness for dates on photos!

I don't do weekly. I'm strictly chronological. sometimes I have a lot and sometimes maybe one thing for the month. I keep it to one 12x12 per year.

I fizzled out in August too, but only because I got sick.
I haven't figured out 2016 yet...I have quite a few weeks of 2015 that I'll want to finish. The months where I'm in the hospital are going to be the hardest but I want them included.
I do know that I'll stick with 12x12 but I'm not a spread a week kind of a gal. Some weeks are a full spread, others are just one side of a 12x12 pp while others are a spread and a half. I go with the flow and that's worked well for me. I also don't do photo a day madness. Some weeks I have a lot of pictures, others I don't. Again, I go with the flow.

This was my first doing PL and I don't think I'm going to do it for 2016. I constantly felt pressure to get it done and I wasn't even doing daIlya or weekly. It just quit being fun. I love my supplies but I think I need to try something different. I'm thinking about just keeping a travelers notebook but month and include mini spreads for the photosame and stories of want to remember.

I just ordered some page protectors. I have tons of supplies so will just use a mix of what I have. I have done P365 and another time I just did a layout a month using the pockets. I am hoping to do a weekly layout but don't want to stress out if quit mid year so hoping for a minimum of s layout a month.
I'm doing 12 by 12 because I already have albums.

I did monthly for last year and the year before but am switching from that for 2016 to theme based scrapping using Ali's story kits. I've tried the approach for few months and really enjoy it - scrapping a mix of old and new photos and both layouts and PL type pages in that end up in the same 9x12 album. I got a bit bored with regular PL because my life is pretty repetitive!

2015 was my first year doing PL. I used a 12x12 album but I only do one side of a page protector per week. I do vary the page protector type. This means that my entire year fit in one album and I did not find it too overwhelming. I print almost all of my photos as 3x4 (either landscape or up and down...I forget what that is called at the moment). That way I can flex the style if I have a lot of photos. On some weeks I did end up using two page protectors and it was no big deal. I was not sure if I would keep up with it because I feel like I often fizzle out on projects but I have totally kept up to date. I love looking back at the first weeks and I enjoy the learning process that I have gone through this year. I plan to do something very similar for 2016 and have ordered the same 12x12 WRMK album. I considered switching to 9x12 albums or another size but I have a TON of 12x12 page protectors and figure I might as well use them. I also have one of the fuse tools so that I can alter them as needed.

I'm new to Project Life for 2016. I view it as a way to catalogue my snapshots throughout the year. I intend on making a smaller 8x8 book focusing on food and the larger 12x12 will be more lifestyle centered with a weekly focus. Simpicity and the opportunity to include a blurb or two about the image is enjoyable but that's the scope of it. I don't view scrapbooking as a task but more in line with journaling and moments captured for later enjoyment. Writing and photography are my main mediums. Project Life just provides pretty packaging for those efforts.
I intend to take daily images that may be based on prompts and others that are staged or captured while out and about. That's my plan.

I was thinking of going to the 9x12 size, but with the announcement that 7Paper (the company that makes the 9x12 albums) is being discontinued, I have decided to stick to 12x12. Its worked for years for me, so why change now.

I have done it this way for 2 years now and for me, its the best way.

That way, I can always alter page protectors if need be.

I'm continuing doing PL in a monthly format, using mostly design A pockets, but adding in 12x12 LOs and other styles & sizes when I feel like it or that fit what I want to include. I'm using the Aqua core kit and a Kiwi WRMK album. This will be my 7th year doing PL and keeping it simple is what works for me. I'm always "behind" as I usually only get to work on it during breaks from school, but I always finish my albums.

I have been doing PL since 2009. This past year, I used the app and loved it so I am sticking with that in 2016

I'm sticking to 6x8 with smaller inserts for 2016. Considered switching to 9x12 but seemed like too much bother. Also sticking with the event or theme oriented spreads, photo heavy style with minimal embellishments. This year I'm doing my journaling in English but I might change that and switch to my native Spanish, though it kinda bothers me having Spanish journaling with English supplies. Just finished my September spreads, I find I scrapbook better if a little time has passed, a bit of nostalgia helps me a lot and kind of gives me clarity. I sometimes check my Whatsapp conversations for that month and I also make notes in the moment ("I want to remember" style. I use my phone) Goals for 2016 PL: * Take more *nice* photos of my "surroundings": my home, my best friend's home, my neighborhood. I often forget! * Incorporate my fiancée's POV. Yet another reason to switch to Spanish next year. I want him to do a little journaling and maybe drawings (he draws really funny cartoons) * Experiment a little with traditional layouts, journaling and my Silhouette. I find what Brandi Kincaid does terribly inspiring and will be keeping and eye on her work. Also love The Urban Display.

One side of page protector per week and two when activity/pictures called for it. Glad to know you did it and liked it!

I'm stuck on 12x12- it seems way too tricky to find 9x12 binder/pages combinations that work, whereas BH PL 12x12 are widely available. Maybe as the market catches up, 2017 will have more options! I'm doing weekly in 2016, design A with inserts as needed, either one week/spread or 1 week/page, depending on the week's activities. I started mid-2015 doing events-based and it was so fun- I am officially obsessed! But this year I want something better organized, better coordinated, and, well, prettier and more artistic. I don't have kids and I have lots of time to dedicate to hobbies so the whole "it doesn't matter how it looks, just get it in an album!" is not for me. I want it to be super awesome! Does that make any sense at all? To that end, I have been searching far and wide for (preferably) free weekly numbered cards so I have something consistent through every page of my album. Arlyna.com made some beautiful cards but they go Sunday-Saturday. I might have to suck it up and just use those but I'll keep on the lookout for another option, perhaps Caylee Grey will post hers, as she hinted she would! Does anyone else have any ideas on that? Also, if anyone has any design tips for cohesive and artistic/trendy layouts, I'd LOVE to hear them! I am constantly on youtube or galleries, but it's tough to apply design principles to different products when no one says "I am putting this card here because..." (Kind of like Shimelle does, I guess!) I signed up for Studio Calico day by day classes to hopefully give me some direction. Merry Christmas!

I did not do PL in 2015 but am going to try it again for 2016. I went ahead and purchased 7 Paper 9x12 binders. I plan to just use page protectors I have and cut them down to 9x12 (and use my fuse where needed). I bought two albums so hoping to keep it to that. I also plan to use my stash...I am subbed to FJ kits but not sure if I will keep them or not as I want to use my stash. I just have to see how well they work for me.
ETA: I plan to do weekly as those were the years I completed the most.

Question for you PLers- I see a lot of design team/bloggers using normal 4x6, 3x4, and then also cutting some photos to smaller than 3x4 and using them over journal cards with journaling above or below. Dearly Dee does it a lot. like in the link. wondering whether there is a rhyme or reason for that? Is there some design decision you make to make some photos smaller? Just something I've seen and am interesting in using myself

I think a lot of the people who use 2x3 or smaller are printing at home and it's a way to print a lot of pictures on one sheet of photo paper, so it makes it cheaper. They are using photo collage apps like PicFrame to resize the pictures and them print them. As for design reasons why they do it, I'm not sure...unless you count that it would let you have room to incorporate more patterned papers & cards and more space for embellishments...I don't do that as much because, to me, that defeats the whole point of PL, which is to keep it simple and fast. PL is where I record the day-to-day things I want to remember and my 12x12 LOs are where I play around with pretty paper and fun little bits and pieces.

I'm thinking one 12x12 page (divided into 6x4 pockets) plus however many layouts using Ali e's story kit sub per month to mix it up. For the past few years I've gone with two 12x12 6x4 divided spreads.
