So we have about eleventy billion sets of headphones from planes. Apparently we've kept each and every pair ever given to us. I just found them while looking for something else.
Are they useful anymore? I just flew twice in the past two weeks, but neither plane had any movies or screens at all. I know many planes do have screens, so do the old headphones with double prongs still work? Are they proprietary for each airline, or will any of them work on any plane? Do they give you new ones each time you buy the movie?
Trying to figure out if I can still use any of these in future flights.

Btt in case anyone knows. I hate to throw away useful items.

Same problem, considering the lack of screens, movies on planes, why are we saving them?

It totally depends on what type of plane you fly on, and what airline. So while I may keep a few pairs, I wouldn't keep many. Actually, I wouldn't keep any, as they are what, $2 a pair (it's been awhile since I bought them)?

It depends on the route you are flying and the airline. I just use my ipod earphones when watching a movie on flights.
