My science loving friend even gets a red flag when he sees the word "detox" alone. There's a reason for that. But isn't detox a real thing? Even sweating gets rid of toxins Or is it all about the "how" you detox is whether it's science supportive or not?

Yes, sweating eliminates toxins. So does peeing and pooping. Things your body does on its own. Because the body is cool like that. Aside from poisoning or drug situations where the body needs support to eliminate things it can't eliminate on its own or situations in which the person needs relief from the symptoms of such, the human body needs no real help eliminating the day to day toxins that are the natural result of various physical processes and there is no verifiable and repeatable evidence that detox protocols actually do anything but cost money and maybe give you the trots.

I like your update. I liked that they included possible reasons why it happened; not, just the usual thanks/sorry letter.

Hey, you got a better deal than I did so congrats on the reimbursement. You probably wrote a more appealing letter!
