Happy Wednesday! Hoping everyone is having a good day. I do feel a little better and hope to do some scrapping today. Nylene- My tree is still up too! LOL! I say we should keep it up as long as we want. It makes me happy so why not, right? I haven't done PL either but it looks fun how you used the cards on your layout. very creative my dear! Have you started preparing for your trip yet? Oh boy that is gonna be fun. I went as a teen with my family and I sill remember the Polynesian Cultural Center. What a neat place. I wonder if it has changed much. I still remember the pineapples that had the insides removed and replaced with ice cream! So yummy! Tina- You are going through a transition with your family. But they are all doing so well and I know that makes you proud. Maybe you will have more time for... scrapping! LOL! Maribeth- We got football and Hallmark movies this weekend and I am looking forward to it. How are you enjoying tennis? Do you play? I would like to relearn how to play and give it a try.

Good Thursday morning Pokeys Sorry I missed greeting you yesterday - I am in the same old funk again, and today's quote is spot on for how I feel (but can't seem to do anything about) Quote for today: “Time is the most valuable coin in your life. You and you alone will determine how that coin will be spent. Be careful that you do not let other people spend it for you.” ― Carl Sandburgkellyr21 - No I don't play, just always been a use sports spectator! I was able to take 30 minutes this morning before work to do a few organizational things in my craftroom. I am shooting for 30 minutes every morning (If I can't squeeze out more time), in order to get my space back into shape by January 31 (actually by January 27 as I have a "scraft" retreat 28-31). Have a wonderful Thursday Pokey's

maribeth, I'm sorry you are having a bad day. Do you think you are trying to get too many things crammed into each 24 hours? I feel that way when I'm determined to do XYZ every day for X amount of time. I hope you can find a balance and take some time for you to just enjoy life. I don't want you to wear yourself out. You bring sunshine to this thread each day. Wish I could bring sunshine to you. kellyr21, I had intentions of getting the tree down today, but my friend who hosts our Card Club decided she wanted to get back into things. (it was her husband who died 2 weeks ago) She asked us to all come tonight, so I made cards instead. Then I was putting some dies away when they slipped off my table into my files of scrap paper. So I went through every scrap until I found them all and consequently organized all my scraps by color, which I had been putting off. Soo...the tree is still up and I'm using the excuse that I forgot to have DH bring up the big boxes before he left for a conference today. But my scraproom got organized and my cards got finished. So it has been a good day and I can enjoy the tree another day! Hope you are still enjoying yours! I think we are related!! scrapincin, Cindy, I hope you are just busy and not sick. We are missing your smiling face this week. How is the weather at your house. Will the BIG STORM be anywhere near you? I know it's hitting the East Coast, but it looked like you are getting snow also. I'd better run. I'll check in again before weekend. Seems like weekends just get too busy.

Happy Thursday! I hope you day has been lovely so far. I started some scrapping last night and hope to continue today.
Maribeth- OMG, thank you sooo much for the wonderful package! It was such a surprise and the timing was so perfect. Did you make it? Such a beautiful tea set. You are so sweet! Thanks again and hope you find your joy and peace today.
Nylene- LOL! We must be related! Well, we will take the trees down in time. I wonder will yours or mine be the last one standing? LOL! I am glad you are feeling better and got all that card making prep done. What sweet friends you all are to visit with your friend later. Have fun and enjoy!

nylene - I am sure I try to get to much accomplished, it is just that there is so much I want to do, and so much of my time at work is spent just sitting and waiting for something to happen, and I spend all that time knowing there are better things I could be doing with my time than sitting and waiting for something to happen. But it is what it is, and I need not to be negative about it. But being back here on the Pokey thread is helping a lot as you are all such positive ladies here. And Nylene, don't for a minute think you don't bring me sunshine - All the Pokeys do and it is VERY much appreciated. kellyr21 - I am glad you liked your package. Yes I made it. I make a monthly card or 3D project for my sisters and BFF's, when you and Nylene gave me your addresses for the Christmas cards you were added to my list, so when my schedule permits you may find future cards/packages in your mail. Only 30 minutes more until go home time - then walk an hour, eat a gourmet supper that my wonder hubby prepares for us, and watch Tennis. If I am up to it, I may get 30 more minutes in of organizing in the "scraft" room. scrapincin - ditto what Nylene said - you are dearly missed, hope all is well. Have the most wonderful evening ever Pokeys - and I will try to keep my chin up and be more positive! Thank you ladies for your wonderful support.

It's Friday Pokeys and I bet you can guess who is doing the happy dance today! : Quote for today! “Fridays are the hardest in some ways: you’re so close to freedom.” ― Lauren OliverI want to thank all the Pokey's who have been giving me such encouragement regarding my state of mind over the lack of time that I have. I fit in another 30 minutes last night and about the same this morning and continued working on my "scraft" room organization. (I will share photos when the project is completed). Tennis last night went great last night, everyone that I wanted to win did. Tonight's half of the draw is not that exiting for me, no-one on it that I would consider to be one of my "favs" so I may actually sleep in my own bed tonight!!!! Mani/Pedi tomorrow - so won't get much scrapping done probably, but hope to be able to do a bit more organizing. Have a wonderful Friday Pokeys.

nylene, kellyr21, My tree would still be up if it was for my husband helping me. We just took it down earlier this week. If he wasn't here, it may have been up till February! I have to return to work tonight from my little vacation which really turned into a sickly vacation. I am still not up to par but hope by this evening, my throat will be a little improved. The pain kept me up last night. I might have gotten 3 hours of sleep. I hope to sleep the rest of the day so I can work all night.

I did it, I did it! My tree is down and I'm slowly getting things put back in place. My living room seems so lifeless now. I miss the tree already. I decided I didn't want to come home from Hawaii and still have it up. I also finished another page last night. This is Alyssa with her snowmen. My scanner doesn't like the dimensional snowflakes so it makes her photo pretty dark. Sorry. Christmas Crafter by Nylene Budge, on Flickr

Hi everyone! I am sorry I have not been around. I had the kids Friday and Monday as they had no school. Then our hot water tank started to giving us hints that it was done for so we were dealing with that. Then I was having U-Verse problems with techs coming and going. It still is not right. Just a bunch of small irritations that kept me busy. Hopefully all is well for the time being. A good friend had hip replacement surgery Wednesday and went home today. Taking them dinner tomorrow.
Maribeth-hope you have a great weekend! You sure stay busy. Makes me wonder what it will be like when you retire!
Tina-nice seeing you!
Jan-Congrats on your wedding! Post some photos if you have some. Sorry you have been under the weather on your vacation time. Especially with a new hubby7 to do things with. Hope you feel better soon.
Nylene-It is sad when we have to take those trees down but I agree you would not want to do it after your trip. You will be hoping to come back to nice weather. Our weather so far is good. We are going to miss that big storm south and east of us. It has been cold but not a lot of snow yet. Love your layout-will be leaving some love in the gallery for you.
gonna go visit the gallery and then off of here as I have a bad headache.

Good to see you, Cindy. I'm glad you are not ill. Sorry about your water heater. Ours began to sound like someone put tennis shoes in the dryer. We limped along a while but decided it needed to be replaced. The repair guy said we were just days away from the rust dropping the whole bottom out....with water all over the basement! We were lucky. I'm glad the storm will miss you. I'm hoping all our Eastern peas will be OK.
Jana, I hope you are feeling better. I'm sorry you have to go to work sick, and sorry you spent your Honeymoon sick. Take care of yourself! We want you well. Today, of the 5 children I taught, 4 had substitute teachers. I think the germs have attacked the teachers all at once. Makes me glad I'm leaving for a while!
Maribeth, I sent you a Peamail...in fact I sent 2. I think I did it right, but you never know. You are a sweetheart! I'm glad your tennis faves did well. But I hope you can get some much needed sleep tonight! LOL!
Kelly, I never thought I'd have my tree down before you. I was thinking of changing the balls to hearts and leave it for Valentine's Day!LOL
Have a great evening and a great weekend, everyone. I hope you are all out of the path of the storms.

Hi Everyone! maryannscraps, I didn't know Erica had a class. I'm a huge fan of arranging my things by how I scrap as well, but could always use some tweaking. Hope you enjoy the class and it helps you find your scrappy rhythm. shinyhappytina, if you figure out how to get a teenage boy happy to shop with you, please let me know the secret! knutschen, I hope you get better quickly. How stinky to be sick right now! But glad you and your new husband had a great time in KC. nylene, great layouts, I will get to the gallery tomorrow if possible. maribeth, great idea to set an allotted time for organizing. I'm so excited that you get to go to a crop. Is it with friends? Is it far from your house? local? deets, please? (or did I miss them?) scrapincin, I feel for you with your water heater problem. We had ours replaced in 2014. Hope all your technical issues are all better. Thanks for the lovely comments on my layout. I should have noted that the bow was from one of my son's presents (a box of chocolates from his sister) and putting it on my layout was inspired by one kellyr21 's Christmas layouts. So thanks for the inspiration, Kelly. On the home front, our electrician was here less time than he had scheduled due to less mess than we thought. woohoo! There is now a ceiling in my dd's room and today the insulator put that foam insulation in the upstairs areas that were open and in the basement area. I could not believe the difference. We've been without insulation upstairs for the last month and it's been cold!! That foam stuff is A-Mazing! And the new dog has a name - Ender. The kids suggested it because of some thing on Minecraft and Don & I were okay with it because of Ender's Game the book. lol. I think I'll try Maribeth's organizing method and go spend 15 minutes cleaning my scraft area. Have a great night, everyone!

Happy Saturday Pokeys Love the projects, will be back to leave love when I return from my mani/pedi appointment. nylene - I did get your PM's, thank you. scrapincin - Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo glad you posted, I was getting worried. I shouldn't because we all have buys lives and sometimes life just happens, but I love to see your smiling face and read your posts, and when they are not there for an extended period of time, that worry just starts to set it. LisaDV - The retreat is not with friends, unfortunately I have no local friends. It is a retreat that is put on by a Creative Memories Consultant where we go to a hotel and we actually just scrap in our own rooms but we mingle, and she is there to sell product. I went several years ago, (when I did have a scrappy friend) and we shared a room. Then I went the following year alone. It isn't the best event, but at least it is something. I so crave contact of any kind with scrappy people. Well off to get those fingers and toes tidied up, will check in later Have a wonderful Saturday Pokeys

Wow I am feeling the LOVE ladies! I really need to get my scrap on! I have just not felt like doing anything. I just need to go in there and sit down and scrap one page and get back into the swing of things. I think the holidays got me all out of sync. Maribeth-you never know one day we may all get the opportunity to get to meet and scrap together. I know you heard about when 12 of us from 2 Peas met at Scrapfest at the Mall of America. You know the one where I walked around with blue hands! I am having trouble staying awake this evening. Not sure why but I am. So I am going to get off of here and get something accomplished. Maybe plan out a page I want to do and then all I will have to do tomorrow and scrap it! Hope you all enjoy your weekend! BBT.

Happy Monday Pokeys So sorry I did not get to visit your page galleries and leave love on Saturday, was busy with my mani/pedi, then had to go grocery shopping and by the time I got home it was time to cook dinner (hubby does that), and the hubby felt like he needed some attention so we rented The Martian. Sunday I had to get my door hangers ready for the retreat this weekend, I volunteered to make those, and then we were watching the games. Brought quite a few loads of stuff we had packed in the RV for Holiday Home back into the house. My craft room was chaos once again (got that cleaned up this morning, and started packing for the retreat. scrapincin - here is your quote for today I see myself not only as a football player, but an entertainer and icon. Cam NewtonSince our Packers lost, we decided we were routing for the Panthers to go all the way. We have really enjoyed watching this team throughout the year. Toodles, back to work for me. Tennis is going to be great tonight!!!!!

Happy Monday! We had a nice weekend and watched the football games too. They were fun and now for the Superbowl. I did some scrapping and almost finished with the page. I have lots to do today and hope to enjoy it all. I will be going to another M's class tomorrow night. It is a floral design class. I have lots of flowers I got from my mil and wanted someone to help me make a few arrangements with them. So I am excited to see how they turn out. Also, I am making some headway with my home deco so I will have lots to share soon. Nylene and Jana- I am the last tree standing!!! LOL! Lisa and Nylene- You made so wonderful layouts. I am off to leave some praise. WE have such a talented group here. Maribeth- I finally got you lots of pics of the oldest McDonald's!!! They also have a little museum next to it and I had never gone in there but I did. It was sort of cool. Lots of memorabilia and a video. Very nice! So send me your email and I can send you the pics. I took a few videos too but they were wiggly. Also, thanks for adding me to the goody list. I love my little tea cup and again thank you. Cindy- You know we got your back girl! LOL! Glad you are ok and hope you get your crafting mojo back. I know how mine comes and goes and when it come back it does feel good. Lisa- Glad my bow inspired you! You home repairs are coming along. Glad you all are nice and warm now with that new insulation.

Maribeth Love the quote! If I could play football I would have been a Safety! My favorite position. That Cam Newton is a dandy! I wish I had his energy.
Well I will be back tomorrow! good night!

Good Tuesday Morning Pokeys kellyr21 - Thank you so much for getting those photos for my McDonalds project. Oh how I wish I could go to the museum. I will PM you with my email address. I am so looking forward to seeing some of your home dec, your flower arranging, and your new layout. scrapincin - WE DID have his energy, when we were his age - LOL nylene - if you check in here before you go, have a wonderful trip, take lots of photos for making some great pages when you return waving hello to maryannscraps , LisaDV , knutschen Great Tennis last night! Then started watching HSN craft shows. I want that cute little mini die cut machine. Do I need it. NO! But it is just soooooo cute. Getting ready for my retreat - Hubby is going to cook me all my meals to take to the hotel. I am taking Pecan encrusted Salmon with Lemon Glaze, Cajun Mexican Catfish, and Simple Time Pork Chops. He will saute me up a head of cabbage. A pan of onions. I will take a can of green beand, and he will make me corn and bean salsa, for my side dishes. He is just the best! I had lost my house keys yesterday, but I didn't tell him until I got home yesterday because he had plans to go to the movies and I knew he would not go if he knew I did not have my keys. So when I go home and told him, he started searching, while I was doing my hour on the tread. He even went through our trash (YUK ), and then at 59 minutes and 48 seconds (I walk for 1 hour), I remembered where they were, I had changed purses on Saturday, and I was pretty sure they were in the purse I used on Friday. Yup there they were, I felt terrible . Today I have a project to post - These are the door hangers I made for the retreat. The white strips on the bottom are there for people to write their names on. door hangers-1 by Maribeth and Jim Robison, on Flickr Have a wonderful day ladies. Off to leave some love on your projects (Finally!!!!!)

Hi Pokey folk! scrapincin I love that layout, it's so festive. You have such a clean style that I love. maribeth waving right back at you! I've been busy working. I like it when I have this many (3) work projects going on, and my deadlines are all far down the road in April. I can plug away on all of it. This is the schedule I like best. I spent the weekend rearranging my office space, which is in our family room. I like to have the tv on in the background while I'm working, and to be in the middle of everything. It had, however, become overrun with piles of paper. So we moved a file cabinet down from the attic, rearranged the furniture. Then I was able to clear off my desk and my son's desk (which I've decided to take over.) I'm almost done with shredding, filing, and putting it all back. Hope everyone stayed safe and warm this weekend. We had a bit of snow, but Saturday was very windy and snowy and freezing cold. The roads were a mess! Nothing got treated until evening. It was DS's all-state audition and he had a lesson, workshop, and rehearsal in Boston. I was afraid to let him drive in this mess (I figure my insurance can take the hit if we get in an accident, but he's only 18 and it would cost me a fortune!) So I drive about 5 hours in that mess. All is well though, because he did make the all state band. That's a nice confidence booster for him before his college auditions get started next week. It's all good here. Busy but happy

This is the according card I made at the recent class. Not sure what I am gonna put in it but I am sure some ideas will come. Turned out cute! Maribeth- Great! I look forward to seeing you lots of pics. So funny about your keys but your dh sounds like he is a real gem. You think he can send me some of the dinners? LOL! OMG, he is a great cook! So happy you get to go to the event in food style! Maryann- Wow, what a drive you had! So glad you all were safe and your dh made it. Very cool! Good seeing you. Cindy- Love that page girlfriend! Happy Friday! Yesterday was our 10th wedding anniversary! We went out to dinner and had a nice time eating good food. My dh surprised me with red velvet cake that had a special message on it. I made him my first shaker card and he loved it. So this weekend we hope to continue our celebration. We have lots of wedding pics and a video I usually love to look at. So some nice plans ahead. LOL, yes my dh likes to draw so I thought he would like going to the art class with me. He was ok but next time I think I am on my own. LOL! Maribeth- What a great time you are having!!! Liked all your pages and hope you keep having a great time. Oh and enjoy those yummy meals your dh made too. Cindy- I must give Ron your message. It was make him smile. You sound like you will be having a nice time this weekend too. Nylene- Have a super duper trip and can't wait to hear about it. Gonna be so terrific!
