Hi, Peas! Happy New Year, everyone! I am still figuring out everything that I can do with my Christmas Cameo! (All of this alliteration is accidental...) I was wondering if anyone has used it to to cut holes for sewing. I LOVE the look of sewing on my PL spreads but it can be kind of tedious to poke the holes. I got a WRMK Sew Easy kit but between the giant holes, crease from the soft mat you have to use, and thick embroidery floss, it's not very subtle or delicate. I don't trust myself to poke my own evenly spaced holes around a curve, either. I did some googling to see if the Cameo could cut the sewing holes for me, and I only found one blog that said it could be done by putting periods around a shape, but I'm skeptical if the blade can poke holes instead of making slits in the paper. Is any of this making sense? Have any of you ever used the Cameo for this purpose? If so, let me know! It would make my pages look so much cuter and tidier! If not, how do YOU guys without a sewing machine sew on your layouts without tearing your hair out?! Thanks!

Hmmm... That link doesn't seem to get you to the right place. The tutorial was on their blog on April 26, 2012, so maybe you can search that way...

Weird! I found the article but I wasn't able to click on it, it just kept taking me back to the page you linked to! Oh well, if they think it can be done, maybe I'll just try it out-- you know, the old-fashioned way

My Pazzles Pro and Inspiration both have piercing tools that do exactly what you are looking to do. My Silver Bullet has a similar thing called a punch tool. Maybe the Cameo has something similar? That would be the easiest way to accomplish what you are wanting to do.
