I saw that story too... She took her new seat in coach, while the service member got her 1st class seat. :-)

It is something that happens more often than you know. Usually it's just a business person so it wouldn't make the news... more than one military member has had an unexpected upgrade and then come to the USO walking on air at the experience.

My son who is in the Airforce had that happen to him a couple of years ago. It was such a wonderful gesture of support that he will never forget. It was the only time he ever flew first class. I love Amy for doing this for another soldier.
