My hubby and I started going south for the winter two years ago. My scrapping stuff stayed up north. I bought another Cameo for here, a paper cutter and a few odds and ends. That doesn't seem to have helped much. I really miss it. Can anyone relate or suggest anything???

Oh my goodness, I couldn't handle not having my hobby with me if I were away for an extended period. It's different when on vacation: your days are filled. When I go to my in-laws, I take a couple of boxes of supplies. Getting kits really helped with this because it offers a coordinated assortment. Could you join a kit (like Scraptastic or Hip Kit or Felicity Jane) and get those delivered to your Southern home for the months you are away?

I would start buying kits and gathering a stash for down south.

Do you fly or drive south? If I were driving, I would certainly be making space for my die cutters - electronic and manual. All of my dies, some of my stamps and embossing folders, and a goodly portion of my papers would also find their way into my car. If you're flying, then weight limitations are obviously an issue, but I would still take my dies and stamps. Oh, and a lot of ribbon. I would buy new equipment for the south, and also extra cardstock and paper.

I would miss it. I would be getting up a supply closet down south as well.

I'd have to start building a stash down south. If you have a lot at your summer home, could you divide it up and ship it? I'd use the USPS flat rate boxes.

I would pack up page kits to take and join and kit club.

And I'd like to add that one of the reasons I said that I would have a northern stash & a southern stash, instead of saying that I would ship my stash back & forth, is that it would cost a sizable amount just to ship it. I would rather spend that money buying new supplies for the vacation/winter house.

Yes. Our lake place is only about an hour from home, but when we go there on weekends I never bring anything with me and I rarely scrap during the week because we're so busy with everything else. Even when I do pull a few things together, I don't seem to ever get around to actually working on anything when I'm there.
